I'm ready for this. Uncharted 2 was great. Very entertaining.
6/28/2011 9:35:02 PM
if it's as good a sequel as uncharted 2 was, game of the year contender IMO.
6/29/2011 12:24:24 AM
I never really liked multiplayer
6/29/2011 7:11:10 AM
^ I couldn't even get it to work.
6/29/2011 10:27:20 AM
^ I never even tried.
6/29/2011 3:57:54 PM
i need to beat 2
6/29/2011 4:07:46 PM
i need to beat as well
6/29/2011 4:10:33 PM
i beat it last night
6/29/2011 4:48:53 PM
Multiplayer was lame on 2. But that didn't matter to me...I didn't really buy the game to play multiplayer.
6/29/2011 5:24:33 PM
MP beta was the most tested beta in PS3 history with almost 2 million unique testers. I am finally playing 2: Among Thieves after buying it on it's release date and not touching it. I am once again fully in love with this series. This game is beautiful and I fully expect #3 to be even better. Probably my favorite game

Might be the only game I buy this year. Indiana Jones on crank.
10/26/2011 1:32:05 AM
lulz
10/26/2011 10:48:14 AM
i too would like to finish #2 before next week
10/26/2011 11:11:51 AM
I feel like this game exemplifies the entertainment experience that non-gamers miss out on.
10/26/2011 11:21:48 AM
I loved Uncharted 2. Yeah, as others have said, the multiplayer wasn't very good...but I don't think many people purchased the game for its multiplayer capability. Looking forward to Uncharted 3!
10/26/2011 11:28:24 AM
whyyyyyy does this have to come out so close to the MW3 release?
10/26/2011 12:31:00 PM
there any preorder bonuses?
10/26/2011 1:13:53 PM
Amazon has a couple of multiplayer perks for preordering. There will be no DLC for the single player portion of this game so anything you get with be MP related or other random stuff.
10/26/2011 1:16:43 PM

10/26/2011 1:26:41 PM
1 and 2 are great games. I recommend playing through both.
10/26/2011 1:45:59 PM
i played the demo for 1 and never got into it2 was fantastic
10/26/2011 1:53:08 PM
with the dual pack being $10 more than just buying the 2nd game of the year edition, i think that's what i'll end up doing.
10/26/2011 2:01:24 PM
5 hours a week is pretty goodI'm lucky to get half that these days
10/26/2011 2:06:46 PM
1 opens up in the jungle and the first chapter or two immerse you in the platforming and climbing aspects of the game. Once you get through the opening hour you really dive into the puzzles and true experience of the game.2, while still having an introductory chapter, ramps it up in a much more blockbuster way. plus you'll want to see who and why the core characters are who they are]
10/26/2011 2:26:17 PM
it's pretty much relegated to hungover saturday mornings before football
10/26/2011 2:26:41 PM
10/26/2011 2:31:03 PM
picked it up last night. pretty cool so far. mostly story oriented and less action for the first few chapters though, but it's setting up nicely.

AWESOME game
11/2/2011 12:51:49 AM
The uncharted series i just could not continue to battle through. I dunno, I think I need something with more constant action and less puzzles. I beat the first one and did enjoy it a bit. However, when I started the second one, I think I got to the 3rd or maybe 4th chapter and just could not push on any further. I don't know why...
11/2/2011 1:44:06 AM
you have a weak mind
11/2/2011 8:28:46 AM
2 many puzzlesnot enough actionwut(maybe you mean too much platforming)
11/2/2011 10:30:04 AM
Yeah it's not a FPS game. Dunno what you were expecting.
11/2/2011 12:26:42 PM
Just ordered this and Arkham City. Target has a buy 2 get 1 free on their website until 11/5 if anyone has a few games they want to pick up. A few other good newer games to pick from too. I've got until they arrive on Tuesday to figure out which one to start first.
11/2/2011 9:01:27 PM
Can't wait to play it.Actually, I can wait until Black Friday to get a deal on it. But that's only because I haven't even finished Portal 2 yet. (the shame)
11/3/2011 8:10:33 AM
uncharted 1 was absolute garbage for the majority of the game. great graphics, interesting story, but then 90% of the game was turn the corner and do some poor cover based shooter. the platforming wasn't bad and the environments were great but gun play was just repetitive and uninspired. the story was also too far apart with much of your time spent in the gun play. the ending was probably the worst last boss fight I've ever done. edging out splinter cell conviction.
11/3/2011 2:45:16 PM
just finished enjoyed it but it wasn't as good as 2. A greater percentage is gunplay which as its previously been mentioned is not this series strong point. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that it sometimes wants to throw you into 15 enemies and the AI is pretty cheap with grenade spam and crazy sort of flanking. In a way you could say that how it would go down in real life but it gets a bit irritating when you literally don't have enough time to move to another cover because a dude with a shotgun comes up behind you.
11/6/2011 12:17:21 PM
finished it. enjoyed it. listed it on half.com. on to skyrim!
11/22/2011 9:25:38 PM
This is def a step back from 2. The pacing and story are a mess and before I switched the aiming option, it was impossible to hit anything. Why try when you know everyone is going to buy your game anyway?I'll have to check out multiplayer, maybe that will redeem it.
12/16/2011 2:47:16 PM
I thought the graphics and first half were superb. I couldn't put the damn thing down. But the second half exposed more plot holes and unanswered questions than Lost. I felt they got short on time and rushed through what could have been a flawless experience.

My sister owns the entire trilogy and let me play it over the course of a couple of weeks. They're fairly good games, but the combat could be pretty frustrating at times. Maybe I'm just terrible at the "take cover and shoot blindly, run away until your health regenerates" style of combat. :/ One thing that bugged me monumentally is how the enemies were everywhere, even in areas that I had supposedly just unlocked. "Okay, I need to solve a puzzle to open this door that has been sealed for thousands of years. The main bad guy just got done complaining that he can't figure it out, so there's absolutely no way that his generic mercenaries with stereotypical Russian accents have made it past this point. Great, it's solved! I'll just stroll down this hallway. Awesome, another puzzle to figure out. OH SHIT THE MERCENARIES ARE AMBUSHING ME!"The stories and characters were pretty well done, and the dialog was consistently funny while remaining believable and clever. I guess I get a kick out of stories that involve a reinterpretation of historical events and artifacts, but I really liked what they did with explaining the treasures in these games and their "supernatural" qualities. The puzzles were pretty good overall, not immediately obvious but not too difficult to figure out (but even when I couldn't figure them out, the game would eventually throw me a massive hint instead of forcing me to either spend hours trying to figure it out or go and look it up). The climbing/parkour parts were a mixed bag for me; sometimes I enjoyed figuring out how to navigate obstacles, other times it felt like a chore. More often than not I was reminded in a good way of the Sands of Time trilogy. But Nathan's moves were inconsistent at times; half the time he was pretty clumsy and didn't have shit on Ezio Auditore, and the other half he would pull shit off that defied suspension of disbelief.

This game might be the biggest con job by the industry and paid off reviewers I have ever seen. I really thought Naughty Dog turned the corner as a development studio with the last game but apparently not. This campaign is shameful. I almost wish I had never played this and just kept the memory of Uncharted 2 in my head.
12/19/2011 11:31:03 PM
i'm selling mine in classifieds
12/20/2011 1:31:32 PM
this whole series is overrated IMOthere wasn't really anything about uncharted 2 that stood out....just a bunch of set pieces linked together. the combat wasn't anything excited or fresh and just about everything that can be seen in the game has been done better in another gamei don't really understand why everybody thought part 2 was such an amazing game. I don't think it deserves whatsoever any of the high review scores it has received. if somebody can make a case for this game, I am all ears.
12/20/2011 5:30:41 PM
A lot of games try to capture that cinematic Hollywood feel but I think Uncharted 2 did it better than any other game I have played. The graphics were astonishing at the time and the story was one of the best I have seen in a videogame. It was nice to have a story in a shooter that wasn't all macho and had a light hearted feel to it. It was just a well done, well thought out game from start to finish. This 3rd title is just straight up rushed. The game basically has to tell you what to do in many situations because it is so unapparent and hacked together. I guess I didn't really notice how aged the gameplay was until now. I think a lot of these reviews have not been as harsh as need be because the aura of the 2nd game has not worn off yet.
12/20/2011 5:38:35 PM
i haven't played the first or secondi got the third at like halloween and it still hasnt really grabbed me12 chapters deep or so and it's not that involving and i kinda feel like im just going through the motions.kinda disappointed i guess. i dont play games that often, but when one grabs me i cant stop playing until it's done. this one has not had that effect.
