so my old comp has basically died and i dont have my office discs anymore and dont want to purchase it for my new compi've been using the google docs spreadsheet, but its pretty sparse.any recommendations for something better?

Indeed, LibreOffice is the best free alternative for Microsoft Office; it's a fork of OpenOffice.org with less control by Sun Oracle and more speed and format support, including full support of the new XML-based formats introduced in Office 2007.[Edited on June 14, 2011 at 2:13 AM. Reason : VBA macros aren't supported, however; OpenOffice Basic is easier though

^for rwoody to get that with his budget, he'd need to be a pirateI recommend Office 2000, the latest version without WGA validation, combined with the Office 2010 Compatibility Packbut maybe they've cracked 2010 by now, if so that's awesome

has your old computer basically died or has it actually died? because if you can pull the key you can always just download the files and use your existing key.
