I like my melon cold, with seeds, no saltAmen.... and I eat the seeds!Other than salt or maybe sugar, I haven't heard of putting anything else on/with watermelon.[Edited on June 12, 2011 at 8:40 PM. Reason : Also, does anyone else eat the seeds?]

That isn't very in depth...

I had a roommate sophomore year that would buy one, cut it in half, and then eat a whole half with a spoon.
6/12/2011 8:40:10 PM
I don't like watermelon. Period.
6/12/2011 8:40:24 PM
this is so profound I don't even know how to react
6/12/2011 8:40:33 PM
6/12/2011 8:41:46 PM
Cutting it in half and scooping out the insides with a spoon is the ONLY WAY TO DO IT understand?!??!
6/12/2011 8:41:49 PM
Salted melon angers me.Though I don't like salt on a lot of things, such as corn. But yeah, you have to have seeds too. I'm from the Bogue area of Eastern NC, so I'm pretty loyal to Bogue Sound Watermelons, what with their official classification and their notorious awesomeness.
6/12/2011 8:42:07 PM
i'm not a huge fan of watermelon, but when i eat it i salt it. cherries are my favorite summer treat.

Never heard of anyone eating the seeds. And also the thought of putting sugar on it skeeves me out. It's fruit. Fruit is sweet. No sugar needed. It's good with vinegar in stuff. I made a salad last week with watermelon, cucumber, rice vinegar and peanuts. The tart vinegar goes really well with it. Still haven't tried balsamic with it, but that is really popular.
6/12/2011 8:46:04 PM
i eat the seeds, but i just swallow them whole. don't like chewing on them.and salt fucks it up.

If you carve a hole in the watermelon and apply some KY Jelly, it makes for an excellent substitute for vagina when your woman is withholding. And you can enjoy a tasty snack afterwards.

Oddly enough, we were having this conversation last night at dinner. My sister in law put salt on her watermelon and my brother was all "wtf?" so we tried it (I had heard of people doing it, never done it myself)...I didn't really like it. I do think salt on a granny smith apple is pretty good. But, to answer the question...cold (but it's hard to beat pulling a watermelon off the vine and eating it while it's still warm from the field), I don't discriminate against seedless or seeded melons...both are fine in my book, no salt. And if it is seeded, I do swallow the seeds.
6/12/2011 9:23:38 PM
lolawesomecheck is in the mail!
6/12/2011 9:23:40 PM
In my native country, we round up all the seedless watermelons and stomp them into pulp. The seeded master race can be the only one.
6/12/2011 9:25:52 PM
Toasting the seeds like pumpkin seeds is delicious.
6/12/2011 9:27:55 PM
^Whoa, I have definitely never heard of that before. I might have to try that.
6/12/2011 9:38:42 PM

6/12/2011 9:48:10 PM
I mean I like cumin on chicken or beef, but watermelon?
6/12/2011 9:49:22 PM
How do seedless ones work? I mean you can't like plant new ones, since there's no seeds right?
6/12/2011 9:50:06 PM
