I have a 2005 Chrysler Sebring. I rarely ever use the horn until a couple of weeks ago someone nearly ran me off the road (damn Boston drivers) and since then the horn has been going off by itself from time to time, even when the car is turned off. It usually gives out one continuous honk for about a minute or so and then stops. I'm sure other drivers and my neighbors are getting pissed off at the noise. Is there something I can do to fix this on my own or do I need to pay a mechanic?

Before I click this thread I knew it was a pt cruiser or sebring. The steering wheel is made so shitty that the faom sticks and the spring isn't strong enough to push it back out

is there something I can do or should I just bring the car in to a shop?

http://www.carcomplaints.com/Chrysler/Sebring/2005/electrical/horn_goes_off_intermittenly.shtmlSounds like the fix is to remove the fuse and not have a horn.Just remember to put it back in before you take it to get inspected.Imported from Detroit[Edited on June 8, 2011 at 4:03 PM. Reason : l]
