Hey Pack Fans!
Does any one have any connections to taking a tour of Carter-Finley? Is it possible to go in the locker room? Walk through the tunnel? Go on the field? I would like to try and setup something for my husband for our wedding anniversary? Any information would be much appreciated!

I don't believe they have tours set up. My guess is going through Wolfpack Sports Marketing may be a good place to start. Our company uses them for random access for NC State related events.

If nothing else, they would probably know who to talk to at the facility that could set up something (if they allow it).

^did you take your clothes off? for some reason that's what i picture...a naked man "running around" on the field then getting tackled by event staff.

My dad got a tour through the Murphy Center when it was first built. But, he was friends with one of the asst coaches at the time...So I'm not sure how hard it will be to get a tour without a "connection". I'm sure it can be done, I just don't know how.

There's a lady that runs stuff over at the Murphy Center whose name escapes me. She does the tours and stuff. I don't think getting into the actual locker room is an option.

If you can drive over there, walk in the front door and look to your left. That's her.

I don't know about NC State, but I know that you can just walk into the stadium and onto the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Was surprised to learn that. Was just passing through Gainesville and a friend wanted to see The Swamp, and lo and behold, the gates were all open.

Is this normal?

I walked onto the field at Lane Stadium and the court at Cassell Coliseum when I was visiting in high school. Worst security ever.

I just walked onto the field at OU's Memorial Stadium two weeks ago. The stadium walkways are a main pass-through for students on their way to class.

I know at UF there isn't a first come type student section like at State. They get real tickets like we used to IIRC. Since the stadium is open, they will go in the the day before the game and tape liquor bottles under their seats. I don't know how it is now, but I remember Kenan Stadium being open. I wondered why no State fans ever went there and pulled a prank, like painting their logo red.

About 10 years ago or so, when I still lived in MD, my family went to Byrd Stadium for the NCAA lacrosse tournament. I got bored after the first game, so one of my friends and I walked over to Cole Field House. Not only was it open, but Juan Dixon was in there shooting around, so we just stayed and watched for a bit. I was like 12 at the time, so it was pretty sweet.

yeah you can go to the murphy center and easily set up a tour

i did it 4-5 years ago one summer and it was awesome...got to walk everywhere, see everything, even in the locker room. at the time, they had a big countdown clock in the locker room that was counting down to the VT game...that was the first game of the year that season

the lady's name is ms. donna. i can't remember her last name, but all the players and everyone that talks to her calls her ms. donna
