And when are you going to get rid of that piece of shit?
5/17/2011 9:21:46 AM
when my contract is up next month
5/17/2011 9:24:11 AM
i like blackberry services but i hate the phones they got....btw anyone get/play with a bb playbook yet?
5/17/2011 9:27:10 AM
You done made treetwista PISSED!
5/17/2011 9:28:17 AM
^
5/17/2011 9:29:56 AM
Still going strong with mine, I hate typing on touchscreens and it serves my purposes just fine. I also like the size of the blackberry.
5/17/2011 9:33:45 AM
you do realize there are phones that are roughly the same size that possess physical keyboards, run more stuff, work better, and are faster than your blackberry, correct?
5/17/2011 9:36:16 AM
when my contract is up, i'm getting rid of mine in favor of an android. hopefully with a decent (non-POS) touch screen[Edited on May 17, 2011 at 9:37 AM. Reason : ^humor me, name a few ]
5/17/2011 9:37:09 AM
When I'm eligible for an upgrade next momph
5/17/2011 9:40:08 AM
I'm still rocking BB and love it. As a communication tool it can't be touched by anything I've used. The only phone that tempts me right now is the Droid Pro, but his keyboard is a POS.In the long run I'll either be upgrading my phone and getting a playbook or switching ecosystems to WebOS - I fell in love with the pixi form factor, but it just needed a little more oomph in the processor.
5/17/2011 9:41:44 AM
I guess to some degree I don't know what all I'm missing because I basically use my blackberry for only a few things. To occasionally google something, talk, and text/bb messenger. I'm simply saying that I've never had any complaints about it personally. I'm not against other devices, I just haven't come across one that makes me want to change what I've got going.
5/17/2011 9:45:57 AM
My one complaint about my Blackberry is its browser, but if I really need to be on the internet for anything more than googling items in my stream of consciousness I will use a computer.
5/17/2011 9:52:22 AM
The bold with BB6 largely eliminates that problem.[Edited on May 17, 2011 at 9:54 AM. Reason : or the style/torch/etc.]
5/17/2011 9:54:13 AM
I just love how fast I get my emails on my bbI'm so scared it won't be like that with the droid
5/17/2011 9:57:39 AM
^^I have the Bold with BB6, and yes it has eliminated problems for most of the sites I visit.

My dad switched from his new droid back to his blackberry [Edited on May 17, 2011 at 10:02 AM. Reason : Y]
5/17/2011 10:01:53 AM
Posting from mine right now! It was cheap and I am mostly pleased with the features. I don't think I want a phone with more features or I'd waste more time messing with it than I already do.
5/17/2011 10:02:37 AM
Droid 2 keyboard is pretty awesomeNot really sure of any upcoming models that have a physical keyboard
5/17/2011 10:03:04 AM
Yeah my thumbs are much more compatible with the small BB keys than some touchscreen mess. I'd be fat-thumbing everything.
5/17/2011 10:03:41 AM
That's what Swype is for.
5/17/2011 10:04:26 AM
Swype is a pos.
5/17/2011 10:05:25 AM
Agreed but it helps with fat finger syndrome
5/17/2011 10:07:51 AM
I think I'm gonna get the new Nexus coming to Sprint
5/17/2011 10:07:53 AM
if you are scared of the touch screen keyboard, you just havent spent enough time with it. it took me about a week to get used to it and i type at least 3 times as fast on it now.those tiny bb keys are tough bc if you make a mistake it wont correct it for you most of the time.

friend of mine finally ditched his Blackberry Storm 1 for an HTC Droid Thunderbolt
5/17/2011 10:30:28 AM
^I would have ditched the Storm1 for a Pearl. It was terrible....
5/17/2011 10:33:20 AM
I had another friend with a Blackberry Pearl that had the trackball break a couple times
5/17/2011 10:41:30 AM
I'm surprised you have this many friends arghx
5/17/2011 10:43:02 AM
man, I hate Blackberries! I've never owned one, but they come into the store about once a day with issues. And they are so annoying to navigate around. It is so much easier to be able to touch the screen. Maybe one day Blackberry will come out with a smartphone.
5/17/2011 10:46:00 AM
Blackberries are smart phones. But really if you don't like black berries why would you hope they come out with something better? Just get something that doesn't suckI'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.
5/17/2011 10:54:36 AM
i have a bbat the time my company only allowed our corporate email on the bb, now they allow it on droid & iphone but im on a contractits actually not so bad. it doesn't do web for shit but i use the hell out of apps to get what i need done. and i can bbm with my friend in switzerland for free so i dig on that i think eventually i'll go to a tablet full time and back to a basic cell phone. i figure that since i carry a purse i can carry the tablet around without issue and don't need a smartphone too
5/17/2011 10:57:43 AM
^^ because I have to fix them all the damn time and the old people need them. I will say that I like Blackberry a lot better than Apple though.
5/17/2011 11:05:18 AM
^^I wouldn't be able to do that. I use my phone for gps/navigation too much
5/17/2011 11:12:53 AM
My contract runs up in October, I believe. I'll likely be switching over to Android then. I do like the BB keyboard a lot more than touch screen keyboards I have used...but swype seems pretty good and should help me out a lot.I hate the trackball on my BB...always getting stuck. [Edited on May 17, 2011 at 11:18 AM. Reason : ]
5/17/2011 11:17:07 AM
Slide out keyboard for serious typing, swype for on the go/one handed typing...win/win.
5/17/2011 11:19:01 AM
I've got a Motorola Droid with the slide out keyboard. I never use it (although I thought I would when I bought it), I wish it didn't have that feature.

To the person wondering about getting emails on a droid...I have the droid X and this thing notifies me about emails instantaneously. I email myself lots of stuff and most of the time my phone will vibrate before I even bother to hit refresh on the browser (if using a pc)
5/17/2011 12:11:48 PM
5/17/2011 12:22:50 PM
^yeah I'm excitedI keep trying to get my franns from Google to send me one
5/17/2011 12:28:43 PM
get them to send you TWO
5/17/2011 12:38:19 PM
Too bad it's a sprint phone. They fucking blow.
5/17/2011 12:45:11 PM
The Storm's clickable screen has been a game changer
5/17/2011 12:56:40 PM
I'll get rid of mine when my company stops paying for it. Or when they are willing to buy me something else.
5/17/2011 1:01:53 PM
I like sprint tho
5/17/2011 1:02:35 PM
I would consider Sprint but I'd probably get terminated for roaming too much. Plus LTE >>>> Wimax
