I'm moving from Gorman to Cameron Court in a month and need suggestions for movers.Has anyone used any movers that they particularly like and are reasonably priced?

Hands down best movers I've ever dealt with:http://trosamoving.com/TROSA (Triangle Residents Overcoming Substance Abuse) moved my fiancee and I from our old apartment to our house when we purchased it two years ago. They were by far the cheapest price. A lot of people I have talked to seem concerned that these movers are all dealing with, or have dealt with, substance abuse problems. From what I was able to gather though, all of their movers under go drug tests/etc to make sure they are staying clean while in the program. People who otherwise would have no gainful employment get a second chance -- and I can say from the movers we had, they are taking full advantage of it! We had a truck and 3 guys who came to move our stuff --- Everything was packed/transported/unpacked with care (nothing was broken at all throughout the entire move). On top of that, they were ridiculously fast and very nice/personable. If we ever move again in the future, we will be going with TROSA regardless of what else is available.I would highly highly highly recommend at least calling them to discuss pricing/time frame/etc.(Yes, I am aware it sounds like I work for them! ( I don't) -- They were that good though, will happily give word of mouth about any company who does exactly what they say, when they say, without any problems.)

I second TROSA. Very reasonably priced, quality work, and you're helping some of the people who need it the most.

I've used the listing service Uhaul offers (movinghelp.com) 4 times and have been pleased each time. The Raleigh group I used, 1Hrfree Travel Core Transportation, was actually the worst experience I had. The experience was still overall positive, but they were a little less friendly and professional than the groups I have used based in other cities. For reference, when I move I typically rent the truck and box up everything myself. I hire these guys to load and unload the truck only.

Does anyone remember the rates they were offered? TROSA was at $100 an hour for 2 guys with a minimum of 2 hours and prorated every extra 15.
