I have an IDQ-12 sub that a buddy of mine lent me (very cool). However, it has been sitting inside a garage for a number of years and I think the dustcap needs re-gluing to the cone. Its causing a rattle when its played. Anywhere in the triangle area that would do speaker repair?

i just use super glue on a dust cap. for other repairs you can order a kit and do it yourself. http://www.parts-express.com/speakerReplacementGuide/speakerReplacementGuide.cfm[Edited on May 12, 2011 at 7:39 PM. Reason : -]

if the surround is in good shape then you should be able to use any flexible glue/epoxy on it. ordering a kit or having creative won't be cost effective considerin the price of a new sub.

I actually found a shop just off Hillsborough street that said they would re-glue it for $10 or so. Hell, the speaker glue is $12 shipped.I've heard various things about super glue. Some say if you ever have to remove the dustcap again it pretty much ruins the cone, however until that time it works fine.
