I've had this in my shed for the last year or so and since I'm working on the motorcycle I see no real reason to keep it. Its a Jalon 50cc scooter, and I'm not going to pull any stops here . . . its in downright horrible condition. Half the plastic is broken or falling off. There's no front fairing. It had a short in one of the lights that messed up most of the wiring . . . NONE of the lights work and you have to put a jumper into a connector instead of turn a key to start/run it. A roll or two of duct tape would not go awry on making this look better.


That all being said, it runs great. The horn works (only electric thing that does). The engine is fine. Has kick and electric start and both work, and once running it will haul some ass. Apparently something regarding a governer was removed because it tears past my friend's brand new scooter (which is rather scary, because the brakes aren't terribly impressive). I happily rode it daily to go get lunch from my old place and saved a shitload in gas instead of taking my truck, it gets a good 60-70mpg. A fillup of its 1 1/2 gallon tank lasted me a month and a half or better.

Ride it as is (during the day, night riding is a no-no without lights), or find a scooter with a bad engine and swap this one into it (I'm told these 50cc Chinese engines are all pretty much identical). Either way its cheap as hell.

Nope, no license or insurance required since its 50cc, just a DOT helmet to ride on the road. You'll probably want to give it a tune-up before riding it since its been sitting a while.
