Looking to put an EFI on my Bronco. Didn't know if anyone had any experience with this kind of job, or knew of anyone/shop who may specialize in working with classic broncos. Here is the kit i am looking to buy for the job.http://www.affordable-fuel-injection.com/ixxocart/products/Ford_Complete_TBI_System_w_Distributor-13-13.html

Pretty cheap. Throttle body injection...and it looks like a complete GM Rochester TBI kit. On a Ford. LOLZ.I personally like the Rochester setup because of its simplicity and high availability of parts. You could cobble your own for cheaper, but if it's simple plug and play you're after, not a bad way to go.

I'm pretty sure a Holley Pro-Jection system would be cheaper. People seem to have mixed results with them...They either love them or hate them. The tunes for street use have supposedly gotten better in the past few years.

Holley Pro-Jection is pretty much shit, unless they've dramatically improved the quality of their components...especially the control box.

Probably a nice truck you got there... i'd try to get something off one of the metric shit tons of EFI mustangs f150s explorers etc in a junkyard and run it on BIG STUFF (hell you could even mega squirt it on the cheap) if they still make it (i don't keep up with mustang stuff anymore since i stopped working on them)(seriously though you should be able to get an entire efi 351 from a truck for that much cash) just my opinion. ^^ Possibly. I know they've gone through a few generations of their control box; getting rid of the analog controls and going to digital.I guess the real question is whether or not the "affordable-fuel-injection.com" system is going to be any better. Looks like Pro-Jection is about $300 cheaper from Summit Racing.Given the options I'd probably stick with a carb.[Edited on March 11, 2011 at 2:32 PM. Reason : l]

Everything about the Affordable setup is GM/Rochester. Even the ECM. Damn reliable stuff, but archaic as the day is long. True digital, but pretty simple/crude.

I recommend Kings Auto Service downtown, they do good work. Ask for Daniel.
