I do a similar thing in Charlotte every year. Its a good time, but make sure to wear shoes you don't mind disposing of afterwards.

Do you do it as an individual walker or a team?I think it'd be kind of fun to make a TWW team

Me and maybe a couple other peopleSeems like all the people who do in in large groups just end up with a clusterfuck of tangled leashes

heh yeah I could totally see that

I would hope most people would be responsible enough to pick up their dog poo, but then again people suck when it comes to things like that.

We did it two years ago and are going to try to be out there this year. It was very fun! Bring some water for your dog though, and bring your own poo bags because they won't have any cleanup stations on the walk, just at the square. The dogs and owners were all well behaved. I was concerned it'd be chaos like how the dog parks are sometimes, but it was very well organized and interesting! It's good for your dog to socialize!

Yeah I'm thinking I'm going to go ahead and register during their early bird special. Even if we don't end up doing it I don't mind donating the money to the SPCA

3 days left to register under the early bird special!

does anyone have a team? how much does it cost to join a team? i wouldn't mind putting up the $25 to walk but i'm not trying to raise $250.

It's $25 to join a team just like being an individual walker. Honestly, I'm not really sweating the fundraising aspect of it. If people want to donate to me that's cool, if they don't I'm still walking anyway
