Weekend after next I'm planning on having a bachelor party for a good friend of mine who has relocated to Charlotte. I'm not too familiar with the city but we are planning on booking hotel rooms downtown. Looking for some suggestions as to some guy friendly entertainment, restaurants for dinner and breakfast, night life, etc. Also, if there are any hotels which are ideally located to these venues I'd appreciate those recommendations as well.

If you're planning to stay downtown, stay at the Aloft at the Epicentre. It'll put you right next to a lot of bars and restaurants. You could technically walk to Uptown Caberet from there as well.

There's a good place for breakfast near Uptown called Original House of Pancakes. Big Daddy's isn't in Uptown but close enough for dinner, they specialize in big burgers but if you're looking for a walking distance place, there's a 5 Guys and Wild Wings in the Epicentre, plus Vida (Mexican), Enso (Sushi), Firehouse Subs, Blackfinn (generic bar food) and then Nix (burgers) is walking distance.

Epicentre is a hoppin place. Specifically, that bowling alley / sports bar / club thing.

Too bad that bowling alley sucks.
The only time I've been there it was awful. There was not room to move. You pay for an hour, and they start the timer when you pay, so by the time I got to my lane I had lost 8 minutes.

That is a decent percentage of an hour.
I wouldn't have had a problem with that if they had let me stay on the lane for another hour, but that wasn't allowed either.
If I'm paying for an hour, that is what I should get. And not have to fight my way through the cool kids with spikey hair and fohawks.

Uptown Cabaret (just outside of downtown), Mens Club, Gentlemen's club are all as top notch around that area as you'll find. Tons of bars, really too many to mention. Most hotels in downtown aren't that bad, stay away from the north side, esp the Days Inn.

Don't forget:
Unless you've got a ton of guys going together don't walk around outside of downtown area, good chance of getting mugged.
Charlotte uptown = (insert any other city name) downtown

Leather n' Lace on South Blvd is one of the greatest strip clubs in the history of strip clubs. Go there.

Went to Leather n' Lace last year for my brother's bachelor party.
It actually surprised me based on my expectations. It is small though, just worth mentioning.
