I just priced out an almost identical set at blue nile at $5500 just for kicks.

yeah good luck with that homie. I spent 10K on the ring I bought (2 carats), and when it was time to get rid of it, the max I got was 6K back. You don't even have a carat, tiffany or not, that's not gonna bring much. You can do some researching, but you can expect to get at a max about 60% of what that ring is worth.

I got my wife a Tiffany setting (style, not name brand) in platinum with a 1.53 ct diamond, brilliant, round cut Vvs1 and E for $6,000, granted I bought it through a family friend at cost. He appraisednit at $12,500.

To everyone looking and making educated comments, I appreciate it.I don't expect to get near what I paid for out of it, that's just a starting point.I'm willing to take serious offers, or even trades for such as a vehicle. I can add if it's appropriate.

as someone who has bought a piece of jewelry from tiffany and co before, i dont understand why anyone would overpay for an engagement ring with themgood luck

Bump for a good diamond. Clarity and color are better than you usually see from a store, too bad most girls only know to care about carat.

Looks like I forgot to add, that both bands are platinum, not gold or silver.Still very open to trades and offers.
