I've only actually touched the floor twice in the legacy in 6 months (mostly cause you don't need to).
1/24/2011 7:51:34 PM
um... maybe 3 or 4 times a day. It's not like I'm breaking any laws though when you've only got 88hp
1/24/2011 7:55:18 PM
Just about every day, though it's b/c I want to. Not b/c I have to.
1/24/2011 8:30:37 PM
Every time I get in my car. Same applies for redline.
1/24/2011 8:33:31 PM
every time i drive any of my cars....except for the '52, that carb cant handle it and it will stall out
1/24/2011 8:40:31 PM
at least 1-2 times per day, usually more..and yeah it has nothing to do with need ]
1/24/2011 8:47:26 PM
damn you people and your triple digit hp. [Edited on January 24, 2011 at 8:57 PM. Reason : .]
1/24/2011 8:57:35 PM
I get on it a lot but I never really hit the floor.
1/24/2011 9:12:27 PM
In my truck or a normal grocery-getter? Almost never. In my sports cars? Pretty much every time I drive.
1/24/2011 9:15:15 PM
the BlakLung - once or twice every time i take a spin... it's like pulling the pin on a grenade. floor it, count to 3, and listen for the explosion of smoke and squealing tirescivic - no use tryingdakota - maybe once every 50 miles just for the hell of it
1/24/2011 9:18:01 PM
Ha, ha ha.
1/24/2011 9:37:15 PM
Ahmet doesn't floor his cars... His cars floor you!!!!1

In the Lincoln ls v8, every other drive, if I can come up with a reason to pretend I'm in a rush to get somewhere, but not for very long bc it is too easy to cruise over the speed limit... In the miata, pretty much every drive. So much fun, not much risk of getting up to speeding too quickly. My wife's (fwd) cx-7... Only to demonstrate the hilarity of turbo-lag torque-steer to a passenger.
1/24/2011 9:47:43 PM
everytime!
1/24/2011 10:00:25 PM
my truck is sort of like my scooter, it only has two throtttle positions - closed and wide open, up until it gets up to the speed limit. So I have to floor it literally five times per each stoplight.

Once every couple weeks.Sometimes when my diabetes/other issues are conflicting with one another and I just want to make sure that I'm actually not going to die when I pull out into traffic. The jeep 4.0L isn't quite outputting the same amount of power it used to put out. I probably have some maintenance I'm forgetting to do.
1/24/2011 10:50:04 PM
OK, honestly this really depends on the power/weight ratio of the vehicle as well as it's dynamics. But if it's a manual transmission and has under 400hp, chances are I'm on the floor and to w/in 200rpm of redline several times a minute in "city" driving. There's really nothing wrong w/that, except for the horrible gas mileage you'll get.
1/24/2011 11:36:51 PM
maybe once or twice a week now8k rpm redlines ftw!
1/24/2011 11:53:32 PM
usually far less when weather is not nice. regardless though, it sees redline every time i drive it, unless the trip is short and car did not have time to get up to oper temp
1/25/2011 12:00:50 AM
rarely i will change that tmrw
1/25/2011 12:15:12 AM
I cut the floor out with a grinder so the pedal could go further.
1/25/2011 12:25:07 AM
all the time
1/25/2011 12:48:52 AM
haha, yeah I pretty much kept my S2000 at WOT. Loved the sound of that F20 at 9k rpm.
1/25/2011 12:55:58 AM
I pretty much keep my girls new Subi wide open and sideways in all this snow! My truck well the same...
1/25/2011 6:03:34 AM
damn you people and your quadruple digit hp.
1/25/2011 6:14:04 AM
slut no its not... like i said its been close a few times with you in the car but it has never actually met the floor mat until yesterday.
1/25/2011 6:27:18 AM
I don't think I've had the pedal in my 02 Jeep on the floor...ever? When your high school car is a 67 Chevelle that always has something wrong with it (partly due to having the go pedal on the floor) you kinda get tired of having the shit broken and in the shop.
1/25/2011 7:18:29 AM
pretty car, did you get rid of it?
1/25/2011 8:39:20 AM
Every chance I get. 160 Honda horses NEED to be floored to accomplish anything. I hit the rev limiter at least a couple times a day.
1/25/2011 9:02:42 AM
I floor it at least once every drive, even if it is just to get to speed.Yesterday I felt a vibration, doing 90 on the on ramp, so later I floored it in 4th up to 130 to see if the vibration was still there. It wasn't, must have been the road.
1/25/2011 9:38:40 AM
Hardly ever. No need. Motorcycles were a different story
1/25/2011 9:45:42 AM
In the Corolla I need to do so for some passing maneuvers. So i'd say at least a few times per week. In the Q45 I might get on it hard a few times per month just to keep carbon from building up and because I enjoy the flat torque curve of a DOHC v8. It has plenty of passing power and usually doesn't need this kind of manuever. In the Rx-7 I try to floor it at least three times whenever I drive it. It's a waste of the car to do anything otherwise. When it's cold out like this I am less inclined to drop the hammer because of concerns about wheelspin.
1/25/2011 1:58:52 PM
I'd like to ride in the rx someday :-) I don't know what it is but I probably leave 1/4 throttle on the table most of the time I get on it.
1/25/2011 2:17:16 PM
It's a pretty wicked ride. I don't know what the hell ever possessed arghx to let me drive it.
1/25/2011 3:31:17 PM
never
1/25/2011 3:32:32 PM
^^ It was all good until you passed that dude on the right at 90mph just as the lane was ending, on Western in front of campus
1/25/2011 3:34:31 PM
I wouldn't do that again. Well, in my own car, I would. Two thumbs up.
1/25/2011 3:41:25 PM
every day, every single time I get on 540 from the airport blvd entrance.
1/25/2011 4:32:26 PM
every so oftenand yesterday when i pushed the clutch while on cruise control
