We have a double sized bed with frame head & foot board that we we're planning on donating to goodwill. It uses inflatable air (via working motor) surrounded by foam boarders and encased in a cover so that it resembles your everyday double sized mattress. Everything works, its clean, easy to reassemble and it's free. We also have a computer desk we were planning on donating, metal frame with black top (laminated particle board I believe, but it's solid). This is also easily reassembled and free.Catch is that its at our house so you'd need to make a trip to Kill Devil Hills.[Edited on January 22, 2011 at 2:32 PM. Reason : .]

i have a couch you can have if you want, it's not the prettiest, but you can probably get a cover. If you're in Raleigh, I'll even bring it to you for a few bucks.

I have a bedframe and headboard that I need to get rid of before my move. I used it for a full bed (I also have the mattress and box spring available, which are very clean and not that old), and it's all in solid shape.$25 for the headboard/frame.$50 if you want the mattress/box spring as well.I'm pretty close to NCSU as well.

Check consignment shops that buy furniture & appliances from foreclosed homes. I dunno how vibrant that business is inland, but with beach houses they're making a killing on flip profits
