So I bought a pretty nice USB Microphone which works great by itself recording raw vocals, only problem is I can't use it with the specific software I have for vocal effects (Native Instruments) so I was wondering if anyone had a comparable regular mic

its a MXL 990 USB microphone and it cost $100 so I'd like to either straight up sell it or trade it

I have a lightsnake, but for some reason it won't pick up anything outside of 6-12 inches. I have yet to find out if that's characteristic of dynamic mics or if the one I'm using is just fucked up. I have an SM57 as well that needs to be sent off for repair and that would probably make an excellent combo.

thanks for posting, it was actually a mixup as i'm new to home recording and just needed to get away from WASAPI and download ASIO drivers for the software

if anyone cares though the MXL 990 is incredible. i can sing across the room and have it pick up crystal clear.
