i did some small amount of googling but couldn't find anything helpful

64-bit Windows 7 hosting OSX through VMWare and the only problem with going fullscreen is that OSX doesn't seem to find a battery thus no display in the menu bar. I don't mind checking every now and then but I also need to know if Windows will give me a heads up even while I'm in fullscreen when it gets critical. thanks!

I've never used any of the VMWare options on Windows but is there a Unity view? It's what I use with VMWare Fusion on my Mac so that I can still have access to my menu bar. Basically it runs the apps as apparent native apps. Perhaps it would work if that's an option?

i have a feeling this has something to do with the weird ACPI stuff that happens in hackintoshes, because the hypervisor definitely passes the information along to the VM if there's a battery present and you've enabled it in the VM settings.
