gone with the 60's 70's or a timeless classic? yay or nay? we're talking like primered fiberglass, not carbon fiber. oh, and on actual performance cars, not some riced up 91 four door accord.

hey... its a camry with a hood scoop... I like the old mach 1 look + they were nice to drive (i imagine, i've only ridden in one) cause the sun didn't glare in your face. Dad had one when i was like 4-6 years old.

Not a fan of aftermarket fiberglass hoods due to poor durability.[Edited on January 3, 2011 at 9:33 PM. Reason : aftermarket ones at least]

Ivan don't give a shit about durability...it's all about the weight savings to him. Even to the point of running a motorsickle battery in that 'vette.

Is that what all the burnouts were for last night.
1/3/2011 10:46:01 PM

I need a new hood for the Integra, but color matching would be a bitch. What say you, TWW? black hood on red integra?
1/5/2011 3:02:55 PM
I'll make you a deal on a faded red hood for your Teg. What's wrong with yours?
1/5/2011 3:27:38 PM
^^ I think it would look good.
1/5/2011 3:29:51 PM
^^lol, you didn't notice the dents when you worked on in that one time?Back in 2007 I was driving on the Garden State Parkway in NJ. It was night time and it was raining. I'd just gotten on the parkway and had gotten over into the left lane and accelerated up to 75mph or so when...BAM, my hood flew up. I pulled over immediately without incident despite a healthy flow of traffic. So there I was, 80 miles from my apt in NYC with a hood bent from the curvature of my windshield (which somehow did not shatter) on the side of the road, in the dark and the rain. I didn't have any tools and needed to get my hood to latch again. So I held it up with one hand and beat on it with my other hand till it was bent back enough to latch. The following day when I was back in Queens I wrapped a hammer with a hand towel and did my best sheetmetal craftsman impersonation to get the hood looking more like it's original form Oh, and the hood latch had never failed originally. My hood hadn't been fully latched due to some tinkering done earlier in the day (me = retard).

Just do what all the euro tards are doing and strip all the paint off and let it rust.
1/7/2011 3:16:22 PM
This is how to do it Proper:

Ma Mopar called that shit organosol
1/7/2011 9:15:15 PM
Fwiw that entire bmw is rust now.
1/7/2011 10:11:55 PM
looks like shit, bruh. if the car is for the track, who cares? if you're gonna troll the street, paint it.
1/8/2011 11:22:05 AM
uhh is it wrong to like the e28?Thats 'fake rust', by the looks of it - its exactly what happens when you pour muriatic acid (HCL) over metal). It rusts immediately. [Edited on January 11, 2011 at 8:51 AM. Reason : DerpHerp]
1/11/2011 8:50:06 AM
yeah i like it too... i'd splash a couple rust spots on then either clear or poly that mofo.
