I knew a guy who became obsessed with coffee at some point and he invested in this pretty damn awesome thermos that claimed to keep coffee hot for 12 hours. We tested it. Got up in the morning, poured coffee in it, set a timer. It did what it claimed to do. I was impressed. It wasn't a very pretty thermos, but it worked!

Mug.Unless I'm out an about on the town, then it's this:

Both...if I'm at home or somewhere that I won't be moving around then a mug is my preference. If I'm in my car then a thermos is preferred.

^^ see, that's awesome and i would totally get that thermosbut it raises another question - clearly there is a quality difference inherent in mugs. does it matter??

Generally metal thermos are better imo. Something like this
12/28/2010 11:21:28 AM
Oh yeah, the tervis tumbler isn't gonna keep it hot forever, but I don't generally keep mine around that long.

plain metal thermos hereI switched over from drinking Rockstar energy drinks to one thermos of coffee a day. I think I'm immune to caffeine at this point in my life
1/3/2011 9:33:32 AM
how do you feel if you don't drink any?
1/3/2011 9:35:45 AM
Bttt. I got a growler from costco, don’t hate it, but just not keeping things hot for long enough. What is the best of the best? Want at least 30oz, would prefer closer to 64oz

how often do yall wash your mug/thermos? i rinse mine everyday and dishwasher once a week but a damn film builds up over time then i get mad and clorox it off
5/6/2021 8:22:27 AM
I wash after each use and grab a different mug/thermos the next day. No film.
5/6/2021 10:14:12 AM
I rinse my metal thermos out after each time I use it, and once it starts looking grimy enough (every few months), I'll scrub the heck out of it to get it all shiny and new again
