Due to something posted message_topic.aspx?topic=605501&page=1#14432102 involving replacing towers I started running through sites on Long Lines. Considering Im working in this field, and deal with the modern version mainly involving this over the internet now, its interesting to see how its progressed. I came upon these sites which as a complete history of Microwave communications which for most of the world in our lifetimes is and was how telcom was done, and is now being replaced by fiberoptic. If you deal with cellular or network based comms its interesting from a history standpoint, or in communications in general from a theory bit.http://www.drgibson.com/towers/http://long-lines.net/places-routes/index.htmlhttp://www.coldwarcomms.org/
