^^Keep an eye on Mobiion and the porting of their "Magicall" app. It was the heat for WinMo and does exactly what you're looking for. I actually used it to make google apps/calling card outbounds seamlessly.http://www.mobiion.com/forum/index.php/topic,606.msg2985.html#msg2985

yeah I actually need help making an app that will do aircraft performace planning data calculations for the TH-67 and the OH-58 helicopters. The app would be some what simple, but it's just a bit out of my league. I'm not sure how to create databases with eclipse. I made a rough layout:

^Why would you need a database? That screen looks more like input a few values and calculate the rest.

well it would need to reference data from a couple different charts... I wish I was better at math, because I'm sure there is a way to get the data using an equation.

Not an expert on android, but can't you do that in excel? or the google android equivalent?

would be hella easy to do in excel with a v-lookup table (but i don't think that would help you on your phone)[Edited on December 5, 2010 at 4:27 PM. Reason : .]

yeah i was thinking excel could do it easily... but i couldnt find a way to use an xls with android...

Works on my iPhone using Google Docs. Here is a simple Lookup -- just change the green from A to B or vise-versa.https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=0Al2aUtnmtVT8dG1qeVNDX1ZGTk1zZFhzTlFpS3c3ZkE&hl=en&output=html

To the few people that develop apps...do you guys ever use the android:debuggable flag in your AndroidManifest.xml? Will setting it to false suppress all Debug-level logging for that app in the Android logcat?
