NC State at the Charleston Classic, November 18th, 19th, and 21st
11/14/2010 8:53:00 PM
I read somewhere that all the games that weren't already televised were being picked up by MASN.Found it: http://www.masnsports.com/masn_news_information/2010/11/masn-to-televise-charleston-classic-on-november-18.html

11/14/2010 8:58:34 PM
I hope we show up with more energy than we did against Tenn Tech.
11/14/2010 9:09:30 PM
is that PG from raleigh still at ECU?
11/14/2010 9:13:02 PM
So NC State-ECU can be seen locally in Washington, DC but not Raleigh. Post confirmed sports bars showing this game on MASN ITT.

I'll probably be going on Sunday vs. Georgetown, assuming everything goes to plan.
11/14/2010 9:33:45 PM
^^wow, where was that? i could not find that on their site for the life of me... that site sucks.
11/14/2010 9:36:58 PM
It was under the 2010 field.
11/14/2010 9:38:43 PM
ncsuftw1 would be in the running for the title of worst sports talk mod of all time if Carzin didn't have that position on lockdown for the forseeable future
11/14/2010 9:45:08 PM
We got this one. Sid is the king of regular season tournaments.
11/14/2010 9:53:40 PM
why's that
11/14/2010 9:54:12 PM
Well he's won two hasn't he.

Who the fuck scheduled these games? Were they trying to make sure no one who has a job and lives outside of Charleston can attend any of them? Thursday night + Sunday night = FAIL[Edited on November 14, 2010 at 9:59 PM. Reason : Is saturday for sight-seeing or something?]
11/14/2010 9:59:18 PM
really?it's a fucking tournament... when are they supposed to schedule all 4 games each day, as well as 3 games for each team?Saturday being excluded is likely so as to not conflict with college football, plus it enables the championship game to be televised.]
11/14/2010 10:08:48 PM
here's to hoping someone sets up a FEED for the ECU game
11/14/2010 10:23:57 PM
^^ As much outside of the work week as possible- wouldn't it make sense to try to sell as many tickets to the tournament as possible? I'm sure ESPN is expecting great ratings as they have only picked up 3 games, put them all on ESPNU, and televise 2 games on Friday afternoon. At least they avoided competing with college football [Edited on November 14, 2010 at 11:01 PM. Reason : ]
11/14/2010 10:59:41 PM
no college basketball is on ESPN until next tuesday when they do the 24 hour thing... all of their games have been on ESPNU
11/14/2010 11:28:07 PM
11/14/2010 11:34:37 PM
So is tailsock already pulling for UNC basketball?
11/15/2010 10:29:39 AM
Will there be a live stream of the first game or will any local establishments be carrying it?
11/15/2010 11:31:24 AM
any bar with DIRECTV should be able to show it.
11/15/2010 11:34:35 AM
Anybody coming down for the tournament?? Great weather for the weekend, high 60s to low 70s and sunny. Nice new arena in the heart of downtown Charleston. Should be fun.
11/15/2010 1:06:33 PM
we better not fuck around and lose to ECU againi'd love to play (and beat) Georgetown in the finals
11/15/2010 1:41:23 PM
Starting with the next home game:http://hurricanes.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=543577http://www.bypasslane.com/

I will be there for the games. I am pretty pumped. Since I live in Charleston I doubt I will make any games at the RBC so this is my chance for what I hope is 3 games. GO PACK!!![Edited on November 15, 2010 at 7:37 PM. Reason : damn]
11/15/2010 7:36:42 PM
they play 3 games no matter what
11/15/2010 7:40:52 PM
I sense another meaningless early season tournament championship [Edited on November 15, 2010 at 10:15 PM. Reason : ]
11/15/2010 10:12:40 PM
cant sleep on a team like george mason...the caa always seems to have a few decent teams that are quite good.
11/15/2010 10:18:15 PM
Sammys or Backyard Bistro for the games on Thursday and Friday?
11/15/2010 10:46:41 PM
went to the Georgetown game last night. It was a pretty shitty game so I really don't know much about them. The Freeman guard is pretty nice, but their senior foward was out for some reason. Definately a beatable team.

11/16/2010 7:46:52 AM
Well I for one, can appreciate the Clutch link. ...as random as that was.

Old Spice Champs, never forget the fuck is MASN?

When I had MASN in Northern Virginia, it carried mostly Orioles, Nationals, and mid-major basketball (George Mason was on a lot). Get ready for the worst video quality you have seen outside of David Thompson highlights from the 70s. It was like watching a game through a fogged up window.[Edited on November 16, 2010 at 11:47 AM. ^My parents have DirecTV, which carries MASN-HD...they air Big East Network games, and those are in HD now, and it looked just as good as ESPN (which isnt saying much admittedly). MASN does a lot of broadcasts they dont produce themselves, so you will get mixed results...they had the ECU-UCF game on that weekend I was visiting, which was produced by UCF, and it was pretty average 16:9 SD. I wont judge their SD channel because all of those look like garbage on Dish Network. All of these games are being produced by ESPN Regional TV...why are they not scheduled for ESPN3 as well?
11/16/2010 1:32:19 PM
11/16/2010 1:42:09 PM
MASN-HD is channel 640 on Directv.

^Yeah I think theyve finally changed that since the change to ESPN3...I think it used to be to provide more incentive for providers to sign a deal to add ESPNU. I saw those two games listed too, which is odd...youd think they would carry either all or none of those games.
11/16/2010 6:50:00 PM
Just got a call from King Street Grill in Charleston... apparently they are hosting the game watch for the football game. So if you're going down for the bball tournament then this is the place to watch the State/UNC football game...(the watch is being sponsored by NC State Charleston Alumni Club)The guy said they're working on trying to provide the entire upstairs for State fans and and trying to work out some specials for us as well.
11/17/2010 10:39:19 AM
Also, here is an collaboration of 3 interviews with the NC State freshmen heading into the Charleston Classic... thought this may interest some of you.(new individual highlight videos included)http://packinsider.com/2010/11/the-nc-state-freshmen-are-game-changers/
11/17/2010 10:41:29 AM
so where can we watch this NCSU ECU game at here in Raleigh? Pretty much any bar that has Direct TV/MASN?
11/17/2010 2:57:15 PM
I know for a fact that Sammys is carrying it and I know that Tobacco Rd. Sports Cafe on Glenwood has MASN
