Anyone have one? Thoughts?

Looks too much like the Insight to me. At least it opens up the rear wheel wells. I still don't like the back.
10/16/2010 3:08:41 PM
It's supposed to be a sporty hybrid. But it's not sporty and for a hybrid its fuel economy isn't much to talk about. It's a vehicle built for nobody. It's no surprise that I haven't seen one on the road yet, despite it being available for sale for months now.[Edited on October 16, 2010 at 5:01 PM. Reason : pos]

^ Agreed.I think theyre really 'neat', and Id like it if a friend bought one so I could check it out. But. Why the hell would you buy one? If youre looking for something with good mileage in the low 20s, get a diesel golf or cooper. More seats, vw has a better interior, way more torque. Its a 9-10 second 0-60 I believe, so youre not going to buy it for its performance. I suspect the only people who are going to buy it are those who want the 'true' hybrid image (read: uppity and obnoxious, read: not a fusion/civic hybrid) with a little panache.
10/16/2010 6:12:21 PM
It's a good looking car, but it looks like the "performance" is awful. That's too bad.[Edited on October 16, 2010 at 7:07 PM. Reason : 122hp? Nah son.]
10/16/2010 7:06:47 PM
low 20's???
10/16/2010 7:44:31 PM
With CVTEPA Fuel Economy Est - City 35 EPA Fuel Economy Est - Hwy 39With Manual Trans. EPA Fuel Economy Est - City 31 EPA Fuel Economy Est - Hwy 37 By low 20's, you must have meant OTD pricing for a loaded CR-Z[Edited on October 16, 2010 at 8:24 PM. Reason : .]
10/16/2010 8:21:19 PM
saw one of these the other day on the road, i thought it was a nice nod to the old cr-x. it looks a bit sportier in person than in that picture. i doubt they will sell well, but looks like it would make for a good urban econo box. sporty handling and 0-60 times don't mean jackshit in stop and go traffic (atl rush hour ftl).
10/16/2010 8:24:10 PM
"The base CR-Z starts at $19,200 and can reach about $24,000 for the EX model with navigation and a CVT."I dont think low 20s was a stretch was it?
10/16/2010 8:53:26 PM
^ I had interpretted your statment that Low 20's was referring to the mpg Your pricing statement is accurate, imo.
10/16/2010 9:27:53 PM
id buy that shit in white with a k20 yesterday
10/16/2010 11:10:59 PM
^^ ha, no worries, now that I read the thread again it makes sense.Back to the car. The interior looks rather cool from the shots Ive seen but I just couldnt justify buying a car with 2 seats that goes 0-60 in ~9 seconds.
10/16/2010 11:39:23 PM
10/17/2010 9:14:18 AM
Diesel jettas are Way faster and get better mileage. It's a morons car.
10/17/2010 9:06:42 PM
yeah, this thing is less cool and useful than a crossover SUV
10/17/2010 11:59:14 PM
It's not a good looking car. IMO you can't call something good looking if it looks horrible in the side profile. Also hard to think something with and disproportionately large nose looks attractive.
10/18/2010 12:07:58 AM
Wow, that side profile really does make the huge beak evident. Almost looks like the front wheels should be farther forward than they are. Some good elements of the styling but it doesn't work as a whole.
10/18/2010 10:17:23 AM
Isn't the engine fully forward of the front wheels?
10/18/2010 4:06:18 PM
Yes, though it's that way for most FWD I4 vehicles. (my GS-R's engine is fully in front of the axle)
10/18/2010 4:15:25 PM
K20 PLEASEI LOVE IT
10/18/2010 6:22:15 PM
Cool, they made a heavy Insight.
10/18/2010 7:00:14 PM
this thing gets about the same gas mileage as my dad's 11 year old corolla
10/18/2010 8:38:25 PM
Guise, how do you plan on arguing with Hondurrr's ENGINEERS???Connection to CR-X:
10/18/2010 8:45:18 PM
^hmmm. That looks like proof that the spirit of Soichiro Honda is dead.
10/18/2010 10:09:50 PM
I'm really rooting for this thing to fail.
10/19/2010 1:02:41 AM
10/19/2010 11:29:34 AM
^Agreed!!! K20 + 6mt plz
10/19/2010 5:51:49 PM
Saw one today parked today in Philly's Chinatown. It's an okay looking car. Not good looking, but not ugly either.
10/23/2010 3:46:36 PM
yeah i like the look of it too but again give me hp and a sporty drive train.
10/24/2010 12:15:50 PM
10/25/2010 4:39:04 PM
Nose being the part of a car in front of the wheels! I.e. overhang
10/25/2010 4:42:53 PM
k20 + 6mt plz
10/25/2010 5:53:18 PM
been out of honda engines for a while- whats the k20? is that the rsx-s engine?
10/25/2010 6:17:26 PM
Saw one in person today. Reminded me of an old CRX with a giant snout.
10/25/2010 6:34:55 PM
^^yeah basically. the best motor they make IMO.
10/25/2010 8:03:11 PM

11/2/2010 11:30:41 PM
Hopefully this thing will totally bomb and teach the automotive world a lesson.
11/2/2010 11:39:58 PM
are the CVT's that good these days? I drove one of the first out the gate in mass production (was it a Nissan?) and it was freaking TERRIBLE. Also, are they at least reliable?

11/3/2010 12:00:02 PM
I finally saw one yesterday......on the showroom floor at Cary AutoPark Honda. So I still have yet to see one that someone has actually purchased. Anyway, I will agree that it is better looking in person. That's not to say it's a great looking car. I didn't give it a thorough once over, as I didn't want any salesmen to come harass me and spout off some nonsense about how this is Honda's new "sports" car.
11/16/2010 3:53:16 PM
Really? Regular ol' hood pins? I would have figured Aerocatch latches would have become the new standard these days I <3 my hood latches.
11/16/2010 4:01:24 PM
