PM sentalso, this website (and their message boards) can be really useful. they provide TONS of free resources, you can call them to talk to someone, etcthey provide excellent resources for both patients and families. there is a program where they hook the patient up with someone who has been through leukemia before so that the patient has a mentor and someone to encourage them and talk to them...someone who they can relate to 100%.i'd recommend checking it out and looking around at some of the resources they offer: http://www.lls.org/hm_lls[Edited on September 1, 2010 at 8:05 PM. My dad had acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) and is a survivor. He was in the hospital for roughly a year... It was definitely a scary experience, and traumatizing, so if you need someone to talk to feel free to send a PM.[Edited on September 1, 2010 at 8:05 PM.
