my buddy jerry (NCSU golfer) qualified and posted a 70 in the 1st round. we went out and followed him all 18. hit the ball really really solidly, but missed short on a good # of putts.

the course is in great shape, and the pins seem to be located in tight spot. greens were pretty slow yesterday due to the rain, but i expect them to pick up a little bit today if the rain holds off.

The beach on #15 is pretty hilarious. Wyndham put this beach over by the lake, and hired some girls in bikinis and douchebags in board shorts to sit out there and booze on the beach as an advertisement gimmick. its funny.

Jerry tees off in a few minutes...i'm hoping he shoots -3 or -4, as i think he's got to to have a shot at making the cut.

Jerry made the cut!!!!! wow. talk about dream come true. he's 25. the whole family is out of their mind excited. i wont be there for the 3rd rd (panthers) but the final round will be a lot of fun.
