Hey everyone! My friend Thanet (Nate) Sinchaothong (who is in the nursing program at WakeMed) and I are avid Canes game-used hockey stick collectors. For an internship he has worked at the Hilltop Home (http://www.hilltophome.org), a non-profit center for treating and educating disabled children. He had a great idea of raising some funds for this organization by auctioning off one of his Erik Cole sticks along with a signed 8x10.We'd really appreciate any help in getting the word out and of course any potential bidders here in the Wolf Web community. Check out the official Hurricanes messege board for more details and the auction center in the "YES, YOU CAN! #1" (07/24/10 - 07/31/10) thread linked below. Thanks guys!-Johnhttp://fans.hurricanes.nhl.com/topic/17119/t/YES-YOU-CAN-1-07-24-10-07-31-10.html

I'm only interested if the stick is made with the same balsa wood that Erik Cole is made out of.[Edited on July 19, 2010 at 11:17 PM. Reason : .]

I'll trade you a used puck bag, a Mars bar, and Jeff O'Neill.

lol I knew T-Dub would respond with some gold on this one.I also hope you can find someone to bid who has a lot of money.I almost forgot to add one:If I buy the stick will I also be able to do that pathetic move around the defense that never works?[Edited on July 20, 2010 at 2:26 AM. Reason : ..]

Hey, it used to work! In 2004.--Seriously, this being for charity and all I wish you the best of luck. Since you put it on the Canes boards, you're bound to snag the cash of some middle-aged puck bunnies who ride Erik Cole's jock. Around here, though, you'll be hard pressed to garner bids for the stick of a washed-up diver.

I'll trade you some balance, a pair of old Bauer skates, and some of my accuracy. But good luck.

is this the stick he used the last time he put a puck on net? or the one he hits the safety net with while standing at the top of the crease?
