I'm going with the trendy choice and saying Raleigh Times...it's the best I've had pretty easily (though i have a hard time not ordering their nachos instead). Village Draft House and Players Retreat are tired for second.ibt Ruckus. haven't tried it yet...but honestly, I don't know how it could beat Raleigh Times.

The best burger is the one you make yourself.
7/19/2010 8:59:58 PM
PR and the Times are both yumbut at the Times i always end up with the veggie burger because i LURVE their veggie burgersso i don't know. there is another place i know i really like but i'm drawing a blank.

I don't know, but if you find it, call me.
7/19/2010 9:05:58 PM
It's in Cary but whatever. I also don't know if it's the best but it is interesting. Tribeca Tavern has a burger called Glutton’s Glory.10-ounce beef patty8-ounce Kobe patty8-ounce lamb patty5-ounce spicy sausage “Hoop” cheddarmozzarellapepper jackAmerican cheeses 8 slices of baconfried salami All on one batter brioche. Price tag is $40.[Edited on July 19, 2010 at 9:13 PM. Reason : df]
7/19/2010 9:12:37 PM
have you had it?]
7/19/2010 9:13:17 PM
RUCKUS END ALL BURGER (IN CARY BUT NOW IN RALEIGH TOO)
7/19/2010 9:14:19 PM
once again, this thread isn't specific enoughI couldn't tell you for a "straight up" beef burger (because their are plenty, like PR's, Ruckus, and Hi-5 - a place that grinds its own meet is A-ok with me)I like draft house's interesting burger creations the best though
7/19/2010 9:16:37 PM

7/19/2010 9:27:27 PM

^^^Who's trolling?
7/19/2010 9:28:43 PM
Had a killer burger at Bogarts Saturday. This thread should be more like ""AWESOME BURGERS IN RALEIGH" , there are too many variables involved for any burger to be like "THE BEST"
7/19/2010 9:28:45 PM
^^^we as in me as well?cause damn...that could be a shit load of people to choose from [Edited on July 19, 2010 at 9:29 PM. Reason : and i can't avoid places just because i don't like somebody there...i would never leave the house]
7/19/2010 9:29:02 PM
i like natty greene's (not the best burger i don't think but they're good. like village draft house style)they used to have this 3 onion burger i liked but i don't know if they do anymorebut i DO like their salads and appetizers. they have yummy homemade honey mustard for their chicken fingers. MMMMMMMM. but i could eat a gabby burger from the PR right now. no mayo. add a1. AND HOMEMADE CHIPS![Edited on July 19, 2010 at 9:29 PM. Reason : .]

7/19/2010 9:35:04 PM
Wow, no one has said Fat Daddy's yet?
7/19/2010 9:39:26 PM
mehthe only thing they have going for em is the cheese sauce for the fries and the [limited] do it yourself fixings. nothing special about the beef or bun imo. plus they aren't making up for the average quality with any awesome creations.
7/19/2010 10:07:00 PM
blackened cheeseburger at Ale House
7/19/2010 10:09:46 PM
ewwww i HATE the Ale Housemy fav thing about fat daddy's is the onion rings. OMG. NOM. i like the burgers too but they are on a mo jo's type of level.
7/19/2010 10:11:22 PM
anywhere that has homemade hand cut chips is a winner in my book...they can make even a so so burger awesome
7/19/2010 10:12:27 PM
i forgot you gotta add bbq sauce and bacon to the blackened cheeseburgeri also like:mojoesfat daddy'sandy's doublefuddruckers (sadly the millbrook one is closed now)oh and Char Grill (durr)[Edited on July 19, 2010 at 10:13 PM. Reason : ]

the burgers at Village Draft House are my personal favorite, but there's a possiblity that their delicious onion rings, pickle chips, and beer selection have an influence on my burger preferences. The Jackson Hole is awesome, with the California burger and the Carolina burger being my preferred alternatives.
7/19/2010 10:21:05 PM
wow this reminds me of a how brutal raleighs burger game is. just terrible. pipers tavern was about the best.

If you ever find yourself, God forbid, on Franklin Street, Buns has some pretty good burgers.
7/20/2010 9:13:53 PM
ttt, B.
10/26/2010 6:47:56 PM
any answer that isn't char-grill is wrong.
10/26/2010 7:15:42 PM
this may seem counter intuitive, but Bada actually has the best burgers that I've ever tasted in Raleigh hands-down (lived here 24 years). However, I like my burgers seared and well-done so if you are looking for something less cooked, Bada is not for you. 1) Bada2) Duffy's3) Melvins4) Five Guys5) Ruckus/Char-grill[Edited on October 26, 2010 at 7:34 PM. Reason : forgot Duffy's ]
10/26/2010 7:16:43 PM
I actually agree that Bada has some good burgers... I think it is more cause they char them, the buns they use, and the toppings you can get (bbq bacon cheese burger or southwest burger... noooommnomnomnomnom)
10/26/2010 7:18:29 PM
yeah the char is where its at. and the buns.
10/26/2010 7:32:42 PM
If it's just a burger in isolation then it's a tossup.If you include sides then Fat Daddy's 1/2 lb/chili/bacon + onion rings + Rogue honey brown bomber = $
10/26/2010 7:40:35 PM
i do <3 the topping bar at fat daddys
10/26/2010 8:16:59 PM
the toppings bar is all fat daddys have going for them imo...otherwise it's kinda blandand i can't hop on the char grill bandwagon..they're decent, but also bland next to the better offerings in the area.]
10/26/2010 8:22:04 PM
I had a FANTASTIC burger at the Boylan Bridge Brew Pub last Friday.
10/26/2010 8:23:48 PM
