Not me.
7/2/2010 10:58:25 AM
Well, you're a soccer fan, so what could I expect?
7/2/2010 11:01:59 AM
Burn.
7/2/2010 11:03:38 AM
I had forgotten about it, but I am somewhat looking forward to this film.
7/2/2010 11:59:45 AM
i hope it's as funny as the commercials
7/2/2010 1:36:47 PM

Cast is amazing.Writing team is the opposite of that. Not promising.
7/2/2010 9:30:11 PM
The plot seems... boring.
7/2/2010 9:34:01 PM
It's so fluffy I'm gonna die.
7/3/2010 8:31:10 AM
I am already sick of this movie.....the advertising is EVERYWHERE! I mean they really ran it into the ground before it even came out I refuse to see this just of the fact they are shoving it down peoples throats with commercials and such ALL THE TIME!
7/3/2010 10:09:35 AM
HOW DARE THEY
7/3/2010 10:11:22 AM
Supercute, loved it
7/9/2010 11:49:18 PM
I still have no idea what kind of plot the movie has.I want to see it but if it has no direction then it might be a flop.
7/10/2010 2:39:18 AM
I don't think I've ever seen a commercial for this during the day. On the other hand it seems like they show a commercial for this movie during every commercial break at night (after 9pm or so). I can't help but wonder why, since it seems like they're principle target market is asleep at that time of day. Maybe they're trying to recruit the parents to convert their kids?Of course this is over the air channels, maybe it's a different story on cable.
7/10/2010 10:47:12 AM
I havent noticed there being any more commercials for this than just about every other movie that comes out.I really want to see this. The extended preview I saw during Shrek Forever sold me

From my friend Joe, who hosts a radio show about movies:

I haven't seen this.But I wish people would somewhat get over Pixar.Pixar is not perfect.And there are other good animated films.like, Toy Story 3 had Pixar's first non-shitty ending in a while[Edited on July 11, 2010 at 5:00 AM. Reason : /]
7/11/2010 4:47:25 AM
Everybody knows you cried at the end of Wall-E. It's OK. This is a safe place.
7/11/2010 6:06:42 AM
yeah wall-e's ending was pretty subpar.
7/11/2010 6:32:43 AM
heard it was greatI might see it, but I haven't decided yet
7/11/2010 8:54:16 AM
i would have preferred wall-e's ending to go the other way, but i know it couldn'tthe back half of up is just sillybut the only thing resembling a fart joke i can think of is "you guys made me ink"
7/11/2010 2:56:17 PM
The advertising makes it sound like it's mostly about yellow guys... the actual previews make the yellow guys look like minor side characters...Kind of telling, actually, the way they're advertising this. They realize they made something that probably isn't especially funny, but they've got one group of side characters that is/can be funnier, and with everything Pixar has done, audiences might be open to the idea of seeing a movie that's just about little yellow guys... so all the advertising goes into vague nonsense with the funny yellow dudes with as little mention of the plot or main characters as possible.Personally, I would much rather see a movie about the tiny yellow guys than a movie about Steve Carell trying to steal the moon and being interrupted by children. Too bad they didn't make that.

This movie looks like it was made to give little girls something to quote endlessly until their parents want to die from the annoyance.Pixar movies:colorful characters for kids, silly things for kids, jokes for everyone, jokes just for adults, plot driven themes/emotions for adultsOther CG movies:colorful characters for kids, fart jokes for kids, occasional jokes for parents, pop culture references for the masses

Saw it yesterday with the gf. Story isnt the best but its good for a few laughs.Im waiting for them to make a movie out of just the yellow 'minions' now
7/11/2010 9:21:59 PM
god every animated film thread has this side conversation.
7/11/2010 11:53:33 PM
"Other CG Movies" isn't really as accurate, since Cloudy With a Chance Of Meatballs was very good and generally used the same conventions as Pixar, but "Dreamworks" would fit fine into that post.
7/12/2010 12:41:59 AM
if not for How To Train Your Dragon.and Kung Fu Panda is OK. they're on the rise.
7/12/2010 12:47:16 AM
I consider Pixar movies in their own category b/c they just tend to but much more moving and hit the full gambut of emotions. Most CG movies have been straight cash-ins on Pixar's success, but there are a few exceptions IMO. "How to Train your Dragon", Shrek, and Shrek 2 all come to mind as great films that I have enjoyed. Never saw Kung Fu Panda. Hated Cloudy with a Chance.I had very high hopes for "Despicable Me" since it looked like it would be dark humor for kids. Then I saw that they were giving him kids to take care of and it dropped about 2-3 points in my book. Still might be good, but I think they might be trying to hard to make it a family movie.
7/12/2010 1:36:29 AM
Cloudy is so absurdly good.
7/12/2010 2:37:20 AM
The Shrek movies are garbage.

Saw it last night, really cute. I love the little girl and the minions.
7/12/2010 9:42:22 AM
had no idea what this was going to be about based on the previews, but i really enjoyed it... more so than toy story 3, i think.
7/13/2010 6:00:52 PM
Not bad, wouldn't buy it but it's ok for a date with the lady friend. There were some good parts but the best one I enjoyed was from the preview with the little one freakin out about how fluffy the toy is. This is definitely not as much over-the-head-for-little-kids humor as other Pixar films.
7/13/2010 6:13:16 PM
saw this in 3-d tonight... was a funny, cute movie. About what you'd expect from a pixar film
7/18/2010 12:43:13 AM
Pixar
7/18/2010 1:26:37 AM
i laughed a lot during the movie....the girl and I kept cracking up over the lines and actions. Definitely worth the money to see in 3d.
