Looking for some cheap computer speakers with half decent sound.I do not need a sub and do not care what color they are.I would like to get powered speakers.What do you have?

You still have to buy an amplifier for those speakers... If you are not too picky about sound quality, PartsExpress has some decent t-amps to pair with those.This would work nicely, http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-380Will give you better sound quality then say the Logitech Z-2300, obviously you won't have near the bass, but you mentioned that's not necessary.

lol...Those are nice and little nicer than what I had in mind.I should add that the speakers will need to be portable. And by decent sound, I meant not crackling real bad or anything like that.These will only be used to watch movies with the laptop while at the beach.

i got a 2.1 harmen kardin (sp?) setup for $30 on the internet once. sounded great in an apt.

the dell ax210 usb-powered speakers get great reviews...they're hardly anything extraordinary, but considering their size and weight and the fact that they draw power from the usb port instead of needing to be plugged into a wall jack, they're greatthey are routinely on slickdeals for $8-10 with free shipping (so $9-11 after tax)
