that is indeed a solid day^ one of my best friends who played baseball in college even admitted to me that he only likes it for sitting outside, drinking beer, eating hot dogs. i wonder how popular it will be in 10 years. seems like no one under the age of 25 watches it anymore.WORSTSPORTEVER[Edited on June 16, 2010 at 5:35 PM. Baseball's problem, at least nationally, is that it's fanbase is supposedly aging not that too many people are younger. That said, as long as it's far and away the most popular spectator sport in two of the largest three markets in the country as well as the largest media market in the world it's not exactly in too much trouble...Financially speaking, the game is as safe as it's ever been and attendance records are broken annually.
6/16/2010 5:29:25 PM
I think he meant under the age of 25
6/16/2010 5:29:53 PM
The sports I like are better than the sports you like and fuck you you are a gaywad
6/16/2010 5:31:36 PM
^ terrible trollingi mean i like going to games like everyone else. it's just a bummer when nothing else is on TV other than a three and a half hour long Reds - Dodgers game.
6/16/2010 5:34:23 PM
Baseball's biggest problem in the past decade or so was the drop off of African American players in the game and the potential loss of that entire demographic as fans of the sport.Bud Selig is a piece of shit, but he has actually initiated a pretty good youth program to encourage more involvement and in recent years the percentage in the minor and major leagues is back on the rise.Everyone wants to grow up to be the next Lastings Milledge now..
6/16/2010 5:37:19 PM
while game 7's are almost always great, I have no reason to believe this one is going to beit's been a pretty awful series
6/16/2010 5:41:41 PM

6/16/2010 5:55:46 PM
Shocker that people in a state without a baseball team don't like baseball.
6/16/2010 5:57:30 PM
I'll admit that awful was a bit much, but it hasn't been a great series

April will always be the best sports month
6/16/2010 6:22:04 PM
incorrect. There's no college football in April.
6/16/2010 6:22:27 PM
I think the best sports months are in the November/December range:College FootballNFL FootballCollege BasketballNBA Basketballmy opinion
6/16/2010 6:23:09 PM
I think I'd have more fun watching paint dry than baseball, but I hear the trick to enjoying baseball is copious amounts of alcohol, but who knows how exciting that could make paint drying too!
6/16/2010 6:23:11 PM
Baseball is definitely popular here in Philadelphia, especially amongst the women. I think it kind of depends on what area of the country you are in. In the Northeast baseball is extremely popular. The Phillies, Mets, Yankees, and Red Sox regularly sell out. I love actually going to a baseball game, but for me watching it on TV just doesn't produce near the excitement that watching a college football or basketball game does.
