Hi, folks...I could manage to live without my car until I've come to the US.But the situation changed drastically. Now I feel a grave threat to the quality of my everyday life :-( So, I have decided to learn how to drive in this summer, but I just cannot figure out where to start after I got my learner's permit. When I googled, I just could find only the "Fuller Driving School" which has decent review on it.But there is only one review on the google, so I am still not quite sure about it. Would anybody please recommend any trusty driving school near the School to me?Many thanks in advance. (-_-) (_ _)[Edited on June 10, 2010 at 6:17 PM. Reason : the name of driving school]

I believe Jordan driving school is what I used in high school

You'd probably be fine with any of them, although since Jordan gets the TWW seal of approval you might as well go with them.

I, too, went through Jordan driving school.

unfortunately all of those driving schools are absolutely worthless. They'll teach you enough to get your license, but enough to actually be a good driver? lol, yeah right.

Do us all a favor and on your first day of driving instruction tell the instructor you want to learn about round-a-bouts.......

^^He or she will learn the rest on the road. What's your damage?

sondon...you'd do well to have a friend let you practice a bit driving their car around in an empty parking lot at night (well.. if they'll trust you driving their car)That's how I learned to drive a manual. None of my folks ever drove 'em, and I wasn't about to buy one straight up.btw (-_-) are very Asian (sorry to be non-P.C.) ...I'd guess..Korean. you often see T.T tooHardest one for me to figure out was OTL had to have it explained to me. Love to know if I'm the only one who couldn't figure it out.

I get the whole (^_^) and =T.T=... what's OTL?
6/11/2010 2:13:23 AM
it doesn't represent words..it's a person bent over on the floor [sobbing] from agony/pain/exhaustion/misery/drunkenness (whatever is the current disease)I tried for so long to figure out what words it meant, and finally asked.. and discovered it's just a stick figure.

Thank you all. I truly appreciate the comments (-_-) (_ _)So, I can take the Jordan or one of my friends...at the risk of my life...huh :-)ps. Right, magdalena. I'm from Korea. What a psychic! You are right on the OTL, too. It's definitely not output transformerless or something like that :-)It's sort of expression for falling into despair or being overwhelmed by the situation.

i did mine at a local public HS associated with the Durham School System (i think it was free?) turned out pretty well. I had to delay the last day of my driving days (trip i think or something?) till labor day the instructor thought I had been practicing outside of class I had improved so much in the interim. I think it had more to do with being at ease and having gotten my contacts the week before. (this was all before freshman year of HS)
