i know they totally sensationalized this headline for the benefit of readership but it made me jizz my pants a little when i read it...Exclusive: BIOS will be dead in three yearshttp://www.thinq.co.uk/2010/6/8/exclusive-msi-bios-will-be-dead-three-years/?full

Dell's already using this... it will be completely transparent to the end user. The EFI stuff is still backwards compatible with the BIOS stuff, it just adds extra abilities to the BIOS screens to use the mouse and have nice graphics, etc..And this has no bearing on Mac/Hackintosh users... why would you ask their opinion?[Edited on June 8, 2010 at 8:39 PM. In my experience you're waaaaaay more likely to hose your system using Dell's magic updater than getting out a floppy drive or USB stick and doing it right. Ironically I haven't had any trouble with IBM's embedded system, but Dell and MSI I've had trouble with In fact I am the proud owner of a new floppy drive just to fix an MSI server board this week....

^eh, maybe I'm just letting off some steam over that flash this week going poorly. I've been working like 70+ hours to get that system rushed for a customer; then it all went south in like 90 seconds. Of course the MSI reflash utility is waaaaay more complicated than it should be. But it's fixed now and she's on display tomorrow. On time, on budget - woo woo
