shopping for a 4.7 motor. these are my choicesa)120k used long block in south carolina for $750b) bottom end from lkq(unknown mileage) + used heads for 100$ + machining costboth motors would get a complete set of all new gaskets before being dropped in . given the choices and my lack of funds which would you guys recommend?

part out jeep and buy a ford. lkq has a warranty on their motors.i dont know where the place in SC is but ask if they have a warranty

I would go with B and rebuild the bottom end and heads.that is assuming it wouldnt end up much more than 750$

4.7 for a grand Cherokee(same as dakaota/durango) a rebuild kit for that motor cost about $1k place in sc is just a random cl guy no warranty and lkq motor has no pink

rebuild costs depend highly on what exactly you are replacing and the amount of machine work necessary

think i'm gonna go with the used motor mainly bc i'm lazy and i know i'd never get around to doing everything needed to get the head block combo running
