Still no A.J. Davis V That's what I get for trusting ESPN, I figured it was up to date since it included Baker and Larsenhttp://espn.go.com/nfl/players?college=11[Edited on June 2, 2010 at 12:51 PM. Reason : damn espn]

Damn, for a school that hasnt gone to a good bowl since the Gator Bowl versus Notre dame like 6 or 7 years ago, we sure as hell have placed a shit load of folks in the NFL!!!
6/2/2010 2:11:56 PM
Wait or was the Gator Bowl for us like 8 or 9 years ago??

Manny wants a new contract:http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5299613
6/18/2010 8:12:51 AM
I think Manny is making a mistake trying this little hold out ploy. He should have been in the voluntary workouts securing his starting spot over Brooks. Tough to really lobby for a new contract when you've only managed 1 full healthy and productive season so far, esp. as a first-round pick. But hopefully he'll still manage to secure his position and lock up a contract before anything crazy happens next off-season.
6/18/2010 8:24:16 AM
So, I guess Scott Kooistra is the lucky one.
6/18/2010 8:31:32 AM
Looking forward to seeing Andre Brown get some playing time this year with the Giants. The unfortunate injury last season before things even got under way was a big set-back for him, but I feel he will come back this year and perform well =). He is a good power runner, with great speed, kind of reminds me of a stronger Tiki, so I think he will work well with the Giants, so long as he can find the seems and get past the line, he has the speed to break out for a nice chunk of yards.
6/18/2010 8:47:31 AM
I think after that injury Brown is going to need one more year to full recover and get some PT.He is still a little sore, and his confidence is lacking, as is his speed and agility right now.If Jacobs doesn't show some burst in camp though, who knows what could happen. But he still has to beat out D.J. Ware and Gartrell Johnson for the 3rd RB spot.Basically, don't hold your breath.

Torry Holt (knee) placed on IRhttp://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nfl/news/story?id=5465707
8/15/2010 7:15:06 PM
^they just said on first take that it was a career ending injury...
8/16/2010 11:03:55 AM
I think its a "career ending" injury more because he is 34 more than because of the severity.however, not to bad to bust yourself up, go on IR and still collect on your 1.7 million dollar contract
8/16/2010 11:11:19 AM
So does Torry make the HOF?
8/16/2010 1:20:58 PM
how does he not
8/16/2010 1:22:54 PM
Although his numbers are really good (top 15 in most of the major categories), by the time he's up for balloting, his numbers will probably be passed by another 10 or 15 guys. His drop-off in production the last few years has really hurt his HOF bid.
8/16/2010 1:40:02 PM
I give him around 50/50.You can't compare his numbers to receivers in the past like Stallworth and Swann, because teams throw twice as much now. You have to compare him to his contemporaries like Owens, Moss, Harrison and Ward.900+ catches and 13000+ yards look nice, but he only made one All Pro team, and his only ring came with him as the #3 option. It should make for an interesting debate whenever he comes up for selection.
8/16/2010 1:46:03 PM
^ 7x Pro Bowler as well
8/16/2010 1:50:21 PM
Pro Bowls, like any All Star game, are a popularity contestI (and I imagine most voters) take much more stock in All Pro, All NBA, etc teams'Case in point: Deangelo Williams in 2008[Edited on August 16, 2010 at 1:54 PM. Reason : x]
8/16/2010 1:54:15 PM
If they are going to talk about Kurt Warner being in the HOF, then Torry Holt needs to be discussed as well
8/16/2010 2:24:43 PM
He'll be discussed, but that doesn't mean he's got a good chance at getting in. The more I think about it, the less I think he will get in.He was barely the top receiver on his own team during his career. He shared A LOT of spotlight with Isaac Bruce Az-Zahir Akim over the years and you could even say his numbers were skewed because of the offense St. Louis employed as well as Kurt Warner being at the helm for his big production years. The fact that Warner replicated his success in Arizona gives him a better shot at getting in than Torry.
8/16/2010 2:32:36 PM
8/16/2010 4:21:30 PM
Torry Holt was probably one of the most underrated receivers in the NFL. He let his play and his numbers speak for him, unlike some of his counterparts so he didn't draw attention to himself with off the field crap. He also got trapped with crappy QB's towards the end, I was really expecting we'd hear more from him this season with Brady throwing to him. I hope he is able to make it back one more time.
8/16/2010 4:47:58 PM
^^ You have to count Faulk as well. Truly elite receivers are the number 1 option in their entire offense, like Fitz and Andre Johnson are now.
8/16/2010 4:55:57 PM
^Unless you have two truly elite receivers like Holt and Bruce
8/16/2010 9:12:26 PM
I agree with Shit Famous, if he was eligible right now he would get in, but in 5 years a lot of people will have passed him up stats wise... 50/50

Bad day for Wolfpackers in the NFL, many were released or waived...Andre Brown, Brian Clark, Tank Tyler, Steve Hauschka, DaJuan Morgan, DeMario Pressley, Ted Larsen, Scott Kooistra all released, and Anthony Hill was placed on PUP list[Edited on September 5, 2010 at 12:49 AM. Reason : clarification]
9/5/2010 12:48:11 AM
damn, that sucks...hopefully a good amount of them will get picked up elsewhere.
9/5/2010 12:52:14 AM
Hauschka probably should stay unemployed in the NFL
9/5/2010 1:00:14 AM
Damn, wonder what happened to Tank. I thought he was a legit NFL player
9/5/2010 8:06:24 AM
^I think he just didn't really fit in with where the Panthers are going on defense maybe? Looked like they are set up to be a speed oriented defense.
9/5/2010 8:48:03 AM
I'm very upset the Giants cut Andre. I was expecting him to be the #3 RB by the halfway point in the season.
9/5/2010 10:34:10 AM
Why is it that Darrell Blackman isn't playing in the NFL somewhere?

is that really a serious question?
