when you are running/exercising? Nipple chafing is the worst After 2 sets of tennis and a 1-mile jogIt's been worse after longer runs. I've heard of NipGuards but feel pretty lame wearing them. Maybe just some Vaseline? Personal experiences?[Edited on May 26, 2010 at 4:32 PM. Reason : maybe no nipple pic]

don't wear a shirt
5/26/2010 4:31:35 PM
wow, I'm glad I don't have this problem
5/26/2010 4:32:38 PM
never had this problem except when i used to play ball in authentic (sewn) nba jerseys...that mesh would get a little chop going onnever had the problem once with a cotton tshirt though
5/26/2010 4:32:55 PM
is this for real?If so, maybe you can try an athletic shirt that is soft, like the loose fitting Underarmor
5/26/2010 4:33:07 PM
I get it w/ both 100% cotton and, in this case, 100% polyester.
5/26/2010 4:33:53 PM
wear small bandaids on your nips
5/26/2010 4:33:59 PM
ive only had problems when wearing 100% cotton, and found that wicking fabrics do not produce such problemsbut i didnt have a problem unless i was running for 90min+but im a sweaty bitchidk, changing fabrics worked for me, guess not for you
5/26/2010 4:35:46 PM
have your nipples amputated. dudes don''t really need them anyway
5/26/2010 4:36:02 PM
how loose/tight do your shirts fitloose is betterand dont tuck in your shirt while you run either]
5/26/2010 4:36:36 PM
u should probably wear a bro for that.
5/26/2010 4:36:55 PM
According to the testimonials on the nipguards.com website, bandaids and lubricants didn't work for some guy.
5/26/2010 4:37:02 PM
1) Different material/fit of shirt2) Anti-chafing products like Body Glide, TriSlide3) band-aids on the nips4) Stop getting aroused on the court

5/26/2010 4:54:11 PM
i honestly had no idea this was a real problem...just thought it was something the office exaggerated upon to make andy look like a big pusstry some neosporin or vaseline, that will at least help to soothe post chafe
5/26/2010 4:56:13 PM
http://www.bodyglide.com/ works
5/26/2010 4:57:33 PM
I just dab some vaseline on my nips before I run. have never had a problem.

I second the wicking fabrics comment above, never had any chafing wearing a running shirt. The shirts I wear are not incredibly loose around my chest, so if they were going to rub I think it would happen. I don't know if it changes anything, but I have a pretty hairy chest. I don't know if that is a buffer or not
5/26/2010 5:05:34 PM
I used to put band-aids over my nipples to prevent this when I ran track in high school.
5/26/2010 5:29:02 PM
vasoline always works, oh wait thats been said
5/26/2010 5:30:13 PM
this helps with my heels getting messed up during basketballmaybe it'll help your tits
5/26/2010 5:41:06 PM
Put on some bandaids yesterday so that my shirt wouldn't keep chafing. Just pulled them off.OOOOHHHHH Kelly Clarkson

Only time I had bloddy nipples is right after mine were cut off and then sewn back on...it was kinda gross with staples in them and them being all bloody.
5/27/2010 1:27:10 PM

http://www.amazon.com/BodyGlide-BGCB-Bodyglide-Original-Anti-Chafe/dp/B005L8YVROBodyglide. Seriously. I've worn it for marathons, triathalons, week long hikes, bike trips etc. It's fucking amazing. Completely prevents nipple bleeds, armpit chafing, and the dreaded thigh-rubbing for us fatties.
7/6/2014 3:17:47 PM
I never had the problem. But some of the dudes I would run with back in the day out bandaids over their nipples
7/6/2014 4:45:25 PM
you could try to feed a baby vampire
7/6/2014 5:59:41 PM
I also recommend a more fastidious approach to nipple maintenance in the first place. You should stay hydrated and moisturize your nipples--along with your entire body--at least five times a day.^LOL
7/6/2014 6:29:28 PM
I'm not going to moisturize my nipples once, let alone 5 timesi wouldn't even know what to use. saliva?
7/6/2014 6:46:58 PM
I was joking. And I don't think it would really help this issue. But your skin's an organ and all that. So moisturizing after you bathe is not a bad habit even just a few times a week.
7/6/2014 7:28:48 PM
electrical tape doesnt stick to skin as much when you peel it off, and its thicker than a band aid
7/6/2014 7:38:46 PM
i got some of the body glide and it is probably the best thing i have ever purchased. works great for me, but i am running 3-4 miles max at once.
7/6/2014 8:59:10 PM
You guys must have some serious moobs to be getting chafed after so relatively few miles. A marathon, I understand that (firsthand), but almost everything up to that point, I've never had an issue, and that's without any nipple maintenance or accessorizing.
7/6/2014 9:58:17 PM
you're not putting sandpaper over your nipples, are you?if so, it sounds like another ClassicMixup
7/6/2014 11:17:05 PM
^^My first half marathon, my nipples were right on the verge of blood. They were crazy chafed and scabbed over a couple of days after the race. But I agree, never had a problem under 10 miles.
7/7/2014 2:56:04 AM
Band-aids
7/7/2014 9:17:51 AM
band-aids and good quality running shirtsWhen I get the bloody nipples, it's from running for extended periods of time while wearing a cotton shirt. I get those circular, quarter-sized band-aids, stick em on, and gogogo. Also don't wear white shirts, they tend to show things like your nipples bleeding really easily.
