I'm replacing the front drum brakes on my quad. I have everything back assembled and have adjusted the brakes so that the wheels are free moving without any tension (ie: I don't feel the pads touching the drum wall when turning the wheels). However, when applying the brake lever the brakes do not fully extend and stop the wheel. If I adjust the pads further out at all then when the wheels turn the pad grind up on the drum wall.Could this just be a pressure issue? Do I need to do anything with the brake fluid? I accidentally ejected one of the pistons from one side of the wheel, however I put it back into position, bleed the brakes on that side and refilled the reservoir. I was thinking of just draining the entire system and putting new fluid in anyways. When refilling the reservoir could I have overfilled it causing a loss of pressure? I really don't know much about hydraulic braking systems.Any help is appreciated.
