my camry's tires are done for - need a set of lightly used tires - best place to go?also, it's the inside edge of all 4 tires...is this indicative of anything i should be worried about? I put lots of highway miles on the car, but my driveway is a bitch to turn around in...did the tires wear out due to normal wear, or pulling in and out of a tiny driveway requiring a 3 point turn?thanks

The thing I didn't like about Murrays is that they wanted me to wait while the guy went and picked out 4 tires in the size I needed. I dunno...I'd rather go with him and pick them out myself, but they didn't want me to.I like that place at the indoor flea market on Capital Blvd. They have hooked me up a couple of times now and they hustle while they are working. I can go there and have four tires mounted and balanced quicker than any new tire shop I've ever been to.Rockside Tires is good when they have what you need, but their used tire selection has been pretty bad the last few times I went.[Edited on April 28, 2010 at 3:31 PM. tires are kind of like food, they have a shelf life. Used tires are a bad idea and you aren't really saving money. If you need to pay over time, use credit. Order yourself some cheap Chinese tires fresh off the ship at a site like discount tires direct, I paid like $17.99 each one time. You can save even more by getting skinnier ones than recommended for your car, you'll get better gas mileage too. Incresed air pressure will save even more gas. Now for your inner tire wear, don't worry about it unless it's excessive and that's not something you can solve by rotating your tires either so don't worry about it.

well dude i appreciate your suggestions, first off. the tires are michelin hydraedge or something close to that, really expensive tires when i bought them - at least 60k miles on them so no worries about them dying, i got my use out of them, but it's a recession, I love murray's cause i took my gf's car there and I got 4 brand new tires for 30/each that lasted the car's remaining existence - they didn't wanna bother putting them into the system lol gotta love the hood.
