I'm building a website for a small service business I want to start and I have no training in Web site design or anything. I have used Homestead in the past but think I want to try something different. I just checked out CityMax and SiteCube but it seems I can't personalize the way I want to. But that could be that I can be ignorant sometime! I'm willing to pay a decent monthly price for it. Any suggestions?

Are you looking for someone to design a site for you AND host it?CMS (Content Management System) so you can manage the site yourself once the design and initial development is done?

I'm looking for a simple click and drop design program (I was using SiteBuilder with Homestead) and hosting less than say $20 a month. I realize most of you guys are far more advanced than that but it's a simple service business I'm throwing together for some part time cash. So it can be simple. Before I went and "free trialed" every thing I googled I thought somebody may have a recommendation.

For $20 a month I could get you damn nice hostingBut all you really need to spend is $10 or less per monthAs far as the site builder, I wouldn't use one of those services since it'll be a recurring charge to have access to it perhaps. I'd just pay a one time larger sum and pay a web designer to do it all and then not have to worry about paying him again.PM me if you need a referral to someone who can do this for you

objectively, CMS is definitely the way to go. Get a Joomla install, buy a template from template monster or joomlashack and pay me to host it. $125/year, and I'll provide support Plus we're a nonprofit - profits help minors in the area HAVE A HEART

Your best bet if you want to do this on the cheap side but look like you didn't then install your own WordPress CMS on your host. http://www.wordpress.org (not http://www.wordpress.com)then go here for some top notch designs by some of the best designers in the world...http://woothemes.com/Its really easy to setup and start working with very little upfront cost.

I'm looking for hosting too. Been a while since I've needed it, so I'm out of the loop. Basically, I'm hosting a little Wordpress site for a high school newspaper. I won't need much bandwidth. PM's welcome -- or replies here.
