could it happen?http://tinyurl.com/yyvpmvwi would call them :"The Big East""The Big South""The Mighty Midwest"and"The Power West"
4/15/2010 6:36:35 PM
oh, is that what you'd call them...
4/15/2010 6:48:04 PM
Those names suck. They would keep their old names.I'd prefer if all conferences expanded to 12 teams, the Big East was stripped of their BCS conference status, and the Mountain West (already probalby the 2nd best conference) added Boise State and 2 other schools and became a BCS conference.[Edited on April 15, 2010 at 6:57 PM. worst fucking idea ever
4/15/2010 8:14:31 PM
no, but the ncaa seems to be moving away from logical decisions, so I could see it happening.lol @ mighty midwest
4/15/2010 8:15:55 PM
Did HOOPS MALONE come up with those names?
4/15/2010 11:02:29 PM
4/15/2010 11:41:03 PM
4-1 in bowl games.
4/15/2010 11:49:30 PM
Good call. Big East and MWC are the two best football conferences. If we're basing this all on bowl game results the last two years.Fuck a SEC.
4/16/2010 12:02:37 AM
^^ Because they play a bunch of hard teams in the bowls Seriously dude you have to take in account who these teams were matching up against. Outside of the Utah/Boise State wins in the BCS games, most of the MWC opponents in bowl games are not very good due to the weak bowl alliances the conference has.
4/16/2010 8:05:23 AM
playoffs?
4/16/2010 10:08:05 AM
Fuck an SEC
4/16/2010 10:10:25 AM
4/16/2010 10:11:33 AM
i just hope other conferences see what a bad decision expansion has been for the ACC and decide not to do it. it hasn't been a success in providing a better product on the field, and it hasn't brought in additional revenue off of it. blah, i could rant about this for days
4/16/2010 10:13:19 AM
would the POWER PACK back the BIG SOUTH? lol yawl ngas postin in a troll thread.

^that is a profoundly stupid idea
6/4/2010 5:08:08 PM
stuff happening:http://www.backingthepack.com/2010/6/6/1504403/pac-10-expansion-moving-forward
6/7/2010 11:57:38 AM
The SEC will not expand unless it can land Texas. Texas is the only school that improves all sports, expands into a new, large tekevision market, and would increase revenue from media.
6/7/2010 12:11:20 PM
don't like this at all, four conferences remaining might be optimistic at this point, if the big 12 can get owned so easily then I worry about us against the SEC and I definitely don't want my conference dominated by all those rabid rednecks in the deep south, and the big east? no way they're fucked
6/7/2010 8:46:38 PM
lets just have 1 supermega converence. and call it the ncaa
6/8/2010 1:38:37 AM
The ACC's new TV deal might help. It's not as big as the SEC's, but it's big enough to give some leverage probably to schools who wouldn't leave unless money was an issue.
6/8/2010 1:53:06 AM
i hope the acc is unchanged by all of this. when we expanded to 12 teams our level of competition went down in basketball for a few years (i know it was for football that we did it... but i dont want more of that shit)
6/8/2010 4:46:36 PM
Tom Osborne has informed his staff @ Nebraska that they will join the big 10, per ESPN
6/9/2010 5:12:34 PM
so now the ACC/BigTen(12) Challenge will have the last-place ACC team playing
6/9/2010 5:33:11 PM
so long dental plan Big XII!
6/9/2010 5:34:06 PM
wow ... guy on sportscenter Chip Brown says: Texas, Tx A&M, OU, Ok St, TTech, Colorado all going to leave for the Pac-10 ... effective 2012
6/9/2010 6:05:05 PM
6/9/2010 7:49:28 PM
6/9/2010 8:05:21 PM
So does the Big 10 become the Big 12
6/9/2010 8:17:24 PM
Super basketball conference will end up being Big east and ACC
6/9/2010 9:05:57 PM
I cant decide if I like this or not, its hard to fathom there not being a Big XII conference anymore. This feels like some shit I would do in a video game to make for some crazy games, etc. The Pac10 is especially nuts if they wind up getting Texas, Oklahoma, OkState, Texas Tech, etc. etc.
6/9/2010 9:14:40 PM
hopefully the big XII picks up colorado state or utah and calls it a day
6/9/2010 9:21:55 PM
big 12 = dead. i cant imagine them trying to survive after losing everyhting they will
6/9/2010 9:25:57 PM
big xii only has 5 teams now ... i wonder who picks up KU and KSU
6/9/2010 9:33:55 PM
yeah the feeling I got from all the analysts on espn today was that the big12 is done
6/9/2010 9:34:33 PM
6/9/2010 9:35:36 PM
everything i have read still says that texas/tt/ok/osu etc still hope to keep the big 12 alive and will be joining the pac 10 only as a second optioncourse that could just be public pr bullshit
6/9/2010 9:41:28 PM
Big 12 is dead. All of them to the Pac 10. Baylor, Kansas, Kansas St, Iowa St, are all left to join mid major conferences.[Edited on June 9, 2010 at 10:11 PM. Reason : fgh]
6/9/2010 9:59:10 PM
yeah i bet KU and KSU go mid-major
6/9/2010 10:04:29 PM
The big 12 is gone. Where they going to go?Mountain West will absorb some of them.ACC needs to take what the Big 10 doesnt from the Big east
6/9/2010 10:12:44 PM
i imagine KU and KSU might go big ten, with their network i dont think they'll mind getting a couple more teams
6/9/2010 10:14:20 PM
^right. If this is true of the big 12, then the next to move will have to be big 10. then the acc/bigLeast skakeups HAVE to happen....
6/9/2010 10:23:22 PM
Adding UConn, Syracuse, Pitt & one of WVa, Louisville, Rutgers would add value in terms of new markets and would make the ACC the hands down top basketball conference...
