Went and saw it for no other reason other than everything else out looked stupid and I thought this might be enjoyable

I actually really liked it...I'd say it's aimed at kids/families, but it's def. enjoyable for everyone

I've surprisingly heard really good things.

But yeah Dreamworks typically sucks and adheres to the same shitty formula on every movie.

I might check this one out though.

Normally I'd agree that dreamworks is shitty, but everything I've seen about this one makes it look worth seeing.

This movie was fantastic. I liked it as much, if not slightly more than Up.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. My wife and I decided to see it on a whim and it was definitely worthwhile.

Of course, it helped that the main dragon character had very similar mannerisms to one of our cats.

the dragon was exactly what the offspring of my two pets would look like:

p.s., i loved this movie. best that dreamworks has ever done. if toy story 3 wasn't coming out this year i would say hand it an oscar already.

I am still amazed and how an animated film really really appealed to me. It was quite moving. I did not watch it in 3D, but I might just do that.

I really enjoyed it.

I also want copies of the dragon sketches in the credits.

I was skeptical about the movie, and then I was skeptical about the thread, so I checked other sites, and lo and behold, it's currently at a whopping 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.

My friends are saying things ranging from "B" to "Instant Classic."

I'm all about some fuck dreamworks but a movie's a movie, maybe they got their shit together for once.

For once?

I know Pixar is clearly #1 but Dreamworks has some quality titles. This one being as good as anything Pixar has come out with.

Kung Fu Panda is passable but it's a pure kids movie unfortunately.

If you like Shrek, good for you I guess.

[referring to only the animation dept. btw]

^^^ I would say it much closer to an instant classic than it is to a B.

Close to classic.

Got two 3D tickets for $29

Afterward I considered it to be almost worth it. It was that good.

GF hates animated movies and actually liked it.

^^ I saw it in 2D and it was totally worth it, but if you can see it in 3D I would think that would be the way to go.

avatar 3d yes, pretty good, this 3d yes, pretty good but it just makes it prettier didn't seem to really add a lot i felt....

this isn't a "b" movie, it's probably not a blockbuster but it's resonably solid and people of all ages should enjoy it

great movie with a heart, i think pixar is way overrated cause of movies like monsters inc which was by far the most soulless movie i've ever seen

but this was good all around, the 3-d was nice, not avatar nice but very worth it
