There used to be a decent sushi buffet over by Danny's BBQ. I forget the name.

Awesome thanks guys.

I eat at 9n9 at least once a week...love it. Dannys BBQ is definitely good as well.

I think I might try Piper's today.

Sheetz and Serena's.

The Sheetz chicken tenders are actually pretty great.

And, for the price range ($8-12), Serena's has the highest quality, freshest food I've ever had. And service is crazy fast considering the meals you can get.

yes I like Serena's alot...the food is good but the service is a little slow.

Ended up going to Williams kitchen....great food. Thanks whoever suggested that.

Sheetz is where the tourists go. All the locals hit that Shell station a half mile up the road for the Ball Park hotdogs with all the fixings.

How was Piper's wahoowa?

I was just going to suggest Mez. Great Mexican, more upscale and innovative than your usual El Rodeo-type mexican joint.

Have any of y'all been to Spice & Curry? Near the corner of 54 & 55, seems like it could be good for Indian (which I am no expert on but would like to try more of)

I just discovered all the restaurants at 54 and 55 when I went to Williams Gourmet Kitchen yesterday. That Korean BBQ looks very intriguing...I love good Korean food. Anyone tried it?

Haven't been to William's Gourmet Kitchen or Danny's BBQ yet, I'll have to go soon. The Chinese Buffet place in that same area beside BigLots is really good too (and cheap).

Spice & Curry is good, but it's a bit expensive I thought. One of my co-workers moved here from India a few years ago and was satisfied with it. The Korean BBQ place was pretty good too I thought.

Now that I work in the area, I'm also interested in places nearby.

^^^^ oooooooh i love japanese curry. I will definitely be checking that place out. Thanks!

^ good to hear about the Korean BBQ..im going to try it next week if I can find a coworker who will eat something that isnt deep-fried, breaded, and comes from chicken.

so many recommendations in this thread I should be good for a few months haha. By the way I work near Slater and Miami if anyone wants to meet up for lunch sometime.

Sheetz and Serena's.
That sushi buffet place in the shopping center with pipers is awesome, too. I get sushi to-go all the time (work right near there) and it's SUPER cheap because they charge by weight.

^^ the Korean place is ok, not like my moms food. The specialty is more tofu soups, you can order Kalbi but it isnt much and kinds expensive.

Glad you guys like William's Gourmet Kitchen, He is a NC State Grad and was happy to hear he was mentioned on the Tdub

^ very cool. Yeah Williams was very good...and the menu was pretty varied so Ill be going to try other stuff at some point. I had a burger and She Crab Soup and both were delicious.

Sushi buffet will be my next stop I believe. Maybe Tues if anyone wants to join.

Well that's disappointing

Are there any yakiniku places in the Triangle at all? I know they have them in NYC now but that's nowhere near here lol.

Yeah! Cho-sun-ok is good too! Not much choice in the Triangle for Korean, but I like this place. I've never been for lunch though. All the sides etc would take too long for me to finish in <1hr

Rubbs/Smokeys BBQ
Backyard BBQ
Baba Ghanoujjjj (love their rice)
PaPa Mojos bangin po boys and brunch
JAMAICA JAMAICA (my joint) on tuesdays they have live music
Dos Hermanos has real good tacos and Tortas; right next to Jamaica Jamaica
Lina's i think is the best sandwich joint hands down

There are two Korean BBQ joints within a mile ive been to the one in front of the church across from foodlion, the meat and sides were great, but damn was it expensive i only bought it because i didnt want to look at the menu and turn around and leave like an obvious cheapskate (16 bucks for a meal) but id go back once im BALLIN

the other one is next to baba ghanoujjjj i havent been there but its probably the same

These are places we eat regularly for lunch that are considered to be not traveling outside of RTP and I feel are the best eatin in the area..and i live right at 55 and 54 so i eat these spots when not at work also :p

i dont think briggs is all that, but people like it
