I, for one, would like to see us have a legit Lacrosse team.

I dont know why we dont have a diving team as well, I guess we dont have the facilities for it.

We had a DI sanctioned lacrosse team, too, until 1982. I've heard there was animosity between the lacrosse program and our athletics department back in the 80s. I remember a story that some of it stemmed from the team trashing a hotel, but just a story, never any details. I was told this from various sources while playing for the club team my freshman year.

Title IX will probably prevent lacrosse from going Varsity for a while. Not to mention budgetary problems that already exist. I would love to see varsity lacrosse here, so I don't have to root for Duke to beat UNC anymore .

Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that John Tesh played lacrosse at NCSU and that we still have the second highest goal scorer of all time in the NCAA records Stan Cockerton (he was surpassed as the number one a couple of years ago by Duke's Zach Greer).
