That engine is badass!!!! Thats more powerfull than the new V8 in the 550i. But BMW has better packaging. Their tubo\manifold lies in the middle of the 'V'. I really like this new direction of high horse poiwer, good torque, good fuel economy. The BMW N54 and N55 Turbo I-6 engine is nice too.

But where is Nissan and Toyota in turbo charged vehicles??

Damn. That's a beautiful engine...

Current E63 AMG... the sound of the engine will turn you on:http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/25/pump-up-the-volume-audio-of-e63-amg-and-its-earth-smacking-518/Damn, do the M5/M3 sound like that? They have more of a screeching high freq exhaust, right? The AMGs sound totally badass... like American muscle.

The two C63 AMGs I drove with at Roebling Road last fall sounded absolutely amazing. Totally badass. They had aftermarket headers, but stock exhaust and mufflers. Nonetheless, they registered 106dB on the track's sound meter. Seriously, they sounded like NASCAR stockers, lol.

it's crazy how 20 years after all the original twin turbo cars--the Porsche 959, Subaru Legacy Twin Turbo, Rx-7 and Cosmo, Supra, 3000GT, 300zx, Skyline GT-R--twin turbos are back in force from the OEM's. Twin turbos were almost dead 5 or 6 years ago. Only a few models had them.

Anyone else find it funny how no one is doing sequential anymore... Turbo tech has advanced so much with twinscroll housings, ball bearing turbos, light weight compressors and turbines that they don't need them anymore... The only reason they do two turbos is so they don't have hot side piping going all over the engine bay.

yeah seems like all the sequential turbo systems were developed in the late 80s/early 90s and then were slowly phased out until the 2JZ Aristo/GS300 was discontinued.
