my front right shock is fucked because of a pot hole on the way up to DC (very likely the same one you hit) I almost had to pull over to make sure my wheel was still there lolz.

coming back from St Louis one time I thought I had ran off the road and been in a wreck I hit a pot hole that was so bad.. put a dent in the wheel all the way down to the bead. that tire still holds air to this day but i'm not sure how

^^^^Huh? Raleigh to DC is I-95 all the way..?
3/7/2010 3:20:34 PM
^I thought they all merged at one point downtown? my mistake...then it was just i-95
3/7/2010 4:12:02 PM
they do, but that begs the question of why on earth are you driving through downtown when the 295 bypass hauls so much ass. even coming from atlanta up 85, I'd use VA-10 or 36 to jump across to 295 as soon as i could.[Edited on March 7, 2010 at 4:35 PM. Reason : .]

^I usually take I-95 straight thru Richmond (unless its rush hour). It's a little shorter than taking I-295. Still, you're not on I-64 at any time

In NC you can file a claim with the DOT for reimbursement of the damages. You may want to check with the VA DOT (or just google it).

^^it is faster if there's no rush hour traffic. Additionally (while a very minor point) since you're going slower you'll get better gas mileage.[Edited on March 7, 2010 at 10:00 PM. Reason : ^]

it doesn't look like virginia reimburses for anything. it's not a HUGE deal as I can get a used rim for $150 shipped, its just an annoying hassle.
