Phoenix? Not worth the cost.I am going to see My Morning Jacket at Koka Booth, though. I guess I'm fortunate enough to be able to enjoy a show at a rad venue while sitting in some grass next to a lake instead of complaining about my ears not bleeding.

Ronny, you know what they say: "If the music is too loud, you're too old." Just kidding. I can see the merits of both the loud, sweaty rock show and the calm, cool-breeze rock concert; it just depends on what you're in the mood for.And I'm with everyone else on the ticket price. Phoenix is a good band, and I know they're starting to get huge, and I know they just won a Grammy (not that THAT means anything), but no way they sell out Koka Booth at $32.50 a ticket.[Edited on March 3, 2010 at 1:14 PM. Koka Booth is beautiful. I've been to a number of shows there that were complimented wonderfully by the atmosphere.I can't see Phoenix or MMJ gaining anything from the atmosphere. In fact, the MMJ camp has already expressed concerns about the noise limits and the show translating as it should, and there's talk of bringing in portable sound to put in at the back of the amphitheatre so they can make it louder without riling up the Cary police. ]
