So is it safe to buy a used PS3? I want one that can play old games too. I still like playing World Cup 98, 2002 FIFA World Cup, and 2006 FIFA World Cup.

if you want the backwards compatibility you have to get a 1st generation ps3 (full or close to full compatibility) or 2nd generation (partial software emulation compatibility)

^Yeh I know and they seem to be quite popular on ebay right now. I wonder why they quit allowing backwards compatibility. I have a PS2 and enjoy being able to play PS, PS@, CDs, and DVDs without having to hook up 4 different consoles.

The PS3 has been successfully hacked to have backwards compatibility and play pirated games. the former is great the latter is 'grey area'

[Edited on January 29, 2010 at 2:10 PM. Reason : on any PS3 not just the ones sony designated as PS2 friendly]

I had FIFA 09 and didn't get 10 because I knew the WC game would be coming out.

Stade de Suisse
Estadio Azteca
Olympiastadion
Olimpico
Wembley

along with the 10 finals venues.

There are 30 generic stadiums.

I think the default stadium for the US is the generic olympic stadium.

^It would have been nice if they could have added Maracana for Brazil, Port of Spain Cricket Ground for Trinidad, La Bombonera for Argentina, etc. Every team in NCAA football has their stadium in the game every year.

All the NCAA stadiums are 1. Controlled by the same licensing body and 2. In the same country

I have both FIFA 10 and World Cup 2010 and I do not regret buying either. The fact that it's the World Cup and it only comes around every four years is enough reason to buy it, but they did improve the game play and the presentation is pretty awesome.

^^Exactly. Even though I held off getting FIFA 10, I knew I was getting World Cup the day I heard about it.
