I looked at my Degree Audit today and clicked on the Health & Fitness requirement button and then it gave me a list of all the 100 level classes I can choose, but it also said PE 1** at the top, I then clicked on that and it said I can take the 200 level courses as well? so I can take a PE Electives instead of PE 101 or 102 now to fulfill that requirement? because I don't want to take the 100 level classes. so I guess the PE 200 level classes will meet the Health & Fitness requirement now?[Edited on January 22, 2010 at 2:16 PM. Also wan to know if it is a good idea to take 2 or more PE electives in 1 semester? I want to finish them in 1 semester

bad alias is bad2 PE's in one semester never hurt anyone.

1 200 level PE is equivalent to 2 100 level PEs

It's been a couple years, but, I recall needing to take 1*100 level course, and, 1*additional (100, 200) level course. Can you provide a link to your degree audit for your major? And go with Water Aerobics with Wall (if he's still around) for your 100 level course. You won't be disappointed.2 PE's in one semester is doable, I did Archery and Social Dance in one semester. However, make sure you don't try doing something like Triathlon and Swim Conditioning in the same semester, else be drained of energy.

Okay I figured out what happened, when I put the course in it placed it in the Health/Fitness but today it updated and moved it down the the PE Elective. oh well. Thanks for the replies anyway.I'm thinking of just taking Fitness Walking? It seems like the easiest and I am taking another PE - Tennis 1 so I don't want any heavy PE classes.

Whose your Tennis I prof? I had Dang. If he is still teaching run conditioning take it with him as well. Best 2 P.E.'s (run cond and tennis) I've taken at State. Only two P.E.'s I've taken at state

you must be kidding, from what I see, run condition is brutal, i don't think just anyone can take the course and be successful. i will be taking tennis I in the fall and either PE 101 or 102. should I take these for a grade or S/U? they are only 1 credit hour so it wouldn't affect my GPA that much.

i loved step aerobics. its 109. its not hard at all

My 2 were fitness walking & target archery. The first was easy, and the second was awesome.

I had PE 101 with Williamson (I think). She is a great teacher, really friendly. Also took Ultimate Frisbee (with Ousley) and Target Archery (with Smith) for fun. Both were a blast. Archery was the most relaxed PE I had. You don't dress out for it!

I am thinking of taking Bowling instead of Tennis, it looks more popular, also I heard you don't have to dress out? anyone who has taken the course can tell me where is the bowling field at?I will be taking Target Archery and Fitness Walking as well.

you used to go to Western Lanes (on Hillsborough St across from the library) for bowling - that might still be the case. I took a PE every semester and really enjoyed it, but I never tried 2 in the same semester. you'll be fine. and if you can take a class with Cheek, I highly recommend him.

i heard they didn't have computers to keep track of the score there, is it worth $70?
1/24/2010 2:25:08 PM
yeah it's old school, but it's not hard at all (as long as you can count and add)plus it's a fun place to go on a date

water aerobics with wall. I took it in the evening and it didn't start until march (spring semester course). But it was awesome because I could just take a shower afterwards and put on some pjs! I never scheduled work or meetings after water aerobics so to me the class was like a fun end-of-day workout. And it was suprisingly tough (like arm dips off side of the pool)In fact, I got so excited about it that I started going 30-45 minutes earlier just to jump on a treadmill for a little bit until class started.
