Would like to hear some first hand experiences from all of you. Also, best casino resorts to stay in.Going on a bachelor party trip there later this year.and in before the "vegas is better, NJ sucks, it's a dump, guidos everywhere"

Borgata is by far the nicest casino and hotel to stay in, although it's far enough away from the main hub "downtown" and the boardwalk that you can't walk there.

There's a thread on this already IIRC.Borgata is nicest/newest and Tropicana has a shit ton of things to do. Taj was dark, depressing and dirty. Ceasers rooms were decent.[Edited on January 8, 2010 at 11:36 AM. Reason : .]

I was there for one night. Was solicited by prostitutes a number of times, so I guess your bachelor party will be okay. The casinos are filled with nothing but old people from Philly, and outside the shininess of the casinos is juxtaposed by the slums that surround them. Great place.

Probably, but I've never actually been there. And don't get me wrong, I enjoyed myself.

I read over the other AC thread and it had a lot of good gambling tips.We have a couple big gamblers that are going but the rest of us, not so much. That could change though. But other than gambling tips what else ya got? Any good restaurants or bars we should check out? Also, are casino-resorts anal about room occupancy? Like if we have a suite that sleeps 4 but have 2 extra guys crashing on the couch. I've never ran into issues at traditional hotels, but not sure if the casino oriented type would be more strict.[Edited on January 8, 2010 at 12:12 PM. Reason : add]

not in my experience, but you'll only have two four keycards for the elevators and/or security.[Edited on January 8, 2010 at 12:22 PM. Reason : .]

I go up to AC pretty often. The Borgata is by far the nicest because it is fairly new. They are far strict about your IDs. If its cracked, broken, or messed up any you have to go to security for them to run it and even then they might not let you play. Its also the across town so you cant really walk to the other casinos or boardwalk.Ceaser's is also pretty nice and its around the other casinos and the outlets. Taj is kinda dark like Grandmaster said, but I like their suites and you can sometimes get very good deals there. I tend to avoid Bally's cause i dont like the atmosphere. Harrahs and the Trump Marina is on the other side kinda by Borgata. If you want to save some money dont eat in the casinos it will cost you a fortune. There is plenty of diners some of which are open til 4am. There is a irish pub right off the boardwalk that was good food and drink specials at lunch. There is ALOT of prostitutes and you will more than likely be solicited in or outside the casinos so be careful. If you have any questions Id be more than willing to offer you my opinion if you would like it.
