Is it just me or do they suck? I fucking hate watching football when it seems like it really is just a glorified preseason game.
1/3/2010 2:54:47 PM
you should know in week 1 that week 17 will suck
1/3/2010 2:55:50 PM
Yeah, but it just isn't very entertaining.
1/3/2010 2:57:03 PM
I disagree, best week in a while, especially the 4pm games
1/3/2010 2:58:57 PM
I'm pretty happy with the Panthers for the first time since week 1, so I'll take it
1/3/2010 3:01:58 PM
yea those game vs. the cardinals and giants were brutal this season
1/3/2010 3:03:13 PM
man Brady has thrown some horrible shit up lately
1/3/2010 3:47:33 PM
Tom Brady has three broken ribs.
1/3/2010 4:06:30 PM
I broke some ribs before, and that was some excruciating pain. I never realized how tough NFL players really are until I got older and dealt with some of the injuries that they have.
1/3/2010 4:09:32 PM
Romo is really predictable when he actually wants it hiked. He will do a ton of talking then it's always 'omaha omaha set' when he wants it hiked. Perhaps it varies with the drive.
1/3/2010 4:43:55 PM
I think it would be interesting to go back over the season and see how many Dallas Games Joe Buck and Troy Aikman called. I would bet it was over half
1/3/2010 5:34:23 PM
tonight's game should be a really good one. the jets have to win, and i think the bengals are trying to jump the pats. is that right?
1/3/2010 5:36:07 PM
i think that's right but who knows all the playoff scenarios in the AFC I know if Baltimore wins they are in, the Pats are sunk if Welker is lost for the season.
1/3/2010 5:45:04 PM
correct me if im wrong but according to nfl.com, three of the very same games from this week will be the wildcard matchupsphilly and dallasgb and arine and hou
1/3/2010 6:32:22 PM
I'm pretty sure I saw earlier that Dallas would be the three seed Arizona the 4 Philly the five and gb the 6

1/3/2010 7:32:25 PM
and even then they'd play the bengals, not the pats. jets/bengals is the only possible afc rematch
1/3/2010 7:54:24 PM
Is this the first year they've allowed inter-divisional games in the wild-card round (Philly vs Dallas)? From what I remember they were always preventing this.
1/3/2010 9:23:12 PM
just scanning the wikipedia results for the past several years, its happened a good bit in the past. also, i'm not sure how they would prevent it since everything is based on an algorithmic seeding
1/3/2010 9:41:05 PM
Really? I can't think of it happening recently. And they'd prevent it the same way it's prevented in baseball -- they'd force divisional opponents to play the other teams, no matter what the seeding is.
1/3/2010 9:44:17 PM
here we go
1/3/2010 9:46:44 PM
Here is a list of divisional rematches in the wildcard round since 2002-2002 Cleveland at Pittsburgh2004 Minnesota at Green Bay2004 St. Louis at Seattle2005 Pittsburgh at Cincinnati 2006 NY Giants at Philadelphia2006 NY Jets at New England2009 Philadelphia at Dallas

1/3/2010 10:24:16 PM
they changed jco's TD catch to a td runi am now losing my fantasy championship by one half of a point because the 6 yards was enough to get under a 10 point break on receiving but not make a comprable one in rushing
1/3/2010 11:12:09 PM
I think it's crazy that 3 of the 4 games that will be played next week were already played this week.
1/4/2010 4:11:15 PM
^ Agreed. What are the freaking odds of that happening? Also I think the NFL should have a rule that wild card teams cannot play a team from their own division in the first round of the playoffs. They should make the Eagles go play in Arizona and have the Packers play in Dallas. I think both of those match-ups would be better than having rematches next week. Plus I think it is going to be very tough for Dallas and GB to beat the same team two weeks in a row.
1/4/2010 4:29:09 PM
What about those years where that's unavoidable?Case in point, 2006 -- Chicago and New Orleans had wrapped up the top 2 seeds, then Philly, Dallas, and New York all qualified for the playoffs along with Seattle. With 3 out of 4 non-bye-earning teams coming from the NFC East, two of them would have had to play each other.
