Have you tried multiple browsers? Are you using a router, if so did you try to connect directly to the modem? It might be a DNS issue which can be fixed in different ways, but more information is needed.

I'm not using a router, I'm connecting directly to the LAN port in my room. I'm using WIRNET as an ISP which gives you a login screen when you begin a browser session.

I've been having the same problem all day with Time Warner, so I imagine it's not on your side.

Ive been having this exact same issue for a few weeks now. Some sites will come up right away, like TWW, CNNSI, TMZ, but the majority of websited I go to will not connect.Ive tried multiple browsers, same issue.Ive tried to reinstall Chrome, it still happens.Ive restarted both my cable modem and the wireless router.Ive also snagged internet from my neighbor. It still happens.I can sit there and refresh the page and it acts like I am not even connected to the internet. However, immediately from switching wireless connections all sites seem to work, then a few minutes later its back to not working. I usually have to close down the browser, then try a site multiple times before I can get it to load. Its not like I am losing internet connectivity, my downloads are as fast as every, and all my chat clients and other things never lose connection.

Last year I had a similar issue with Pavlov media. It was resolved after they discovered an issue with their dns/ns's. Best bet might be to call tech support, tell them you need them to look into a DNS resolving issue for you. They'll forward you to an engineer who knows way more than you do, then they'll fix it. It took them like 2-3 days of monitoring traffic to figure it out. Then again, you could wait til the 10th when I head back to Raleigh and see if I get the same problem with TWC, in which case I'll call tech support for you
